El mejor hostel!!! Lo amé ❤ incluye desayuno y los dueños son super amables, all was just awesome😉 highly recommended!!! I stayed there with a friend and the time we spent was great, the stuff there helped us each time and even hanged out with them 

An amazing place. The owner - Jairo - is super simpatico and the staff is always helpful and up for some activitys. Jairo's wife is an amazing salsa teacher and the hostel is not far from places where you can have an amazing night out practicing your steps ;) I lived there a 10 months, it felt like home! xoxo

I stayed at Sunflower for 4 weeks and I am very satisfied with my stay. The staff is friendly. The owner, Jairo, takes good care care of his guests, always there to help and give information about the city. The hostel is in a good quiet location. I was there to learn salsa and there were 3 dance schools nearby, so I could combine my schedule very flexibly. Breakfast is included which was very convenient. I definitely recommend this hostel if you are looking for a quiet, small, fun and comfortable place to stay at.

I worked and lived here for nearly 2.5 months. This hostal is in a great area, safe and really close to all that you could need or want in Cali: the bars, restaurants, best Salsa Academy's and schools, 15 mins to the closest shopping mall or 5 mins from the metro.

It is far enough away that you can relax but close enough that you can easily go to any places around Cali.

The hostal is a budget style hostal but everything is exceptional clean, relaxed with fast wifi and a nice breakfast in the mornings. Jairo and Gloria will really look after you they have enormous hearts and do all they can to take care of you as a guest and as a volunteer.

Paradise on a budget

Excelente!!!

The title might not sound so bad afterall, but bear in mind Colombia is a growing economy with lots of cheap labour and families that need work. Keeping that in mind, apart from the cleaning lady, this hostel is solely run by foreign volunteers. There are many lackings to this model. For example, the volunteers know nothing about the city and very little about the country, so no recommendations for you. They are not very attentive to the service you receive, or to keep an eye open to your basic needs. I can't blame them of course, they're there to have a place to stay for free. But there's no long-term view to this model, the facilities are very run down, the cleanliness leaves lots to desire, and the atmosphere depends on the volunteer that happened to be there during your stay; in our case, it was a very dull atmosphere. 

The dorms are small and if all the beds were full, it'd be overtly crowded. Bring earplugs as most rooms are by the street and the noise wont let you sleep. The sheets are old and raggedy, and the bathrooms barely clean enough.

I understand using volunteers to help, but they cannot be the only ones to run your place. A local manager is must in making feel guests that you actually care (I stayed 5 nights and saw the owner one morning). 

You can probably find a better place for the same price, so I wouldn't recommend.
