Sanying Spa Resort Hotel

We stayed in the Sanying Spa Resort Hotel during our Guangzhou Trip 2023 from 1st to 3rd April. Since we were travelling as a family, we have reserved the 4-room spa villa (including a karaoke room, a swimming pool + onsen pool, and an electronic Mahjong table). The villa number was room 401-403. Since the villa was far away from the hotel lobby, the hotel staff escorted us on a “golf car” from the hotel lobby to the villa (which took around 3 minutes). Walking was also possible but takes around 10 minutes. Service was swift everytime and waiters in the lobby were very courteous and helpful in addressing our concerns. The villa was huge with a total of 300+ square meters, which comprised 4 levels, including a gigantic living room and karaoke room on the 1st floor (the entrance), the 2nd floor comprising the living and sitting room + electronic mahjong table, the kitchen, as well as the swimming pool and the onsen pool outdoors. The 3rd and 4th floors were the bedrooms respectively- and the entire villa could stay up to around 10 guests in total. All facilities were amazing indeed apart from the fact that the karaoke might sometimes stop working (and all songs would be gone for some reason). For both nights, I had a super comfy sleep- and the bed quality was excellent. It was the best two nights of sleep during our Guangzhou trip. Service in the hotel was also exceptionally excellent. Everytime when we left the room and asked for a ride to the lobby, we phoned the staff and then they would arrive within 5-10 minutes time, indicating excellent service and proactiveness in the hotel. Even more, when we used the onsen facilities in the hotel, staff would proactively bring tea (different types of tea such as rose tea, etc.) to all guests, indicating excellent service throughout the hotel. This was very impressive. Facilities in the hotel were also excellent. The public onsens were impressive and boasts more than 50+ pools in total, with even a mini water slide for children to play in. The different pools include milk pools, rose pools, red wine pools, lavender pools, etc etc. This was also accompanied with the attentive service. Staff would also guide you on where to go in case you get lost (especially because the venue of the onsen is super large). We did not have the buffet breakfast in the hotel- but we did try out the lunch in the Chinese restaurant on the first day. Overall, some good food but it was a little bit pricey. Hence, if you stay in the hotel, it’s preferred to go out to the 農家菜 restaurants for more traditional and cheap food. Overall, we had an amazing stay- and this is no doubt a 5-star review for hotels.
