The remodeled rooms are gorgeous and the hotel is well maintained. Prices for laundry have skyrocketed since 2002, $15-25 Yuan per piece, even underwear. The pool is open, but could use some serious cleaning. It's also grossly warm, but all outdoor pools in the city are in August. This is the only hotel (out of 8) we stayed in that provided Cognac glasses in the room. Even places like the White Swan that have Cognac in the mini-bar didn't provide Cognac glasses. The Buffet/Brazilian BBQ restaurant is still good, but much slower in bringing out the meats during dinner than our first visit. Many of the staff speak English well.
