Lancheng Yuerong Boutique Hotel

The hotel has serene a tree and tea garden courtyard. One can see the hotel is different altogether. The check-in staff all have their own stands instead of the typical long counter, fresh fruits like longan and grapes are there for you to munch while they do the check-in procedure. The decorations are awesome. The staff is very thorough, even checking your passport for visas and immigration arrival stamps, and asking where you are going next. The rooms are surreal, you have to see them to know. They are big enough and really different from typical hotels. Music from an iPod speaker greet you as soon as you place your door cards in the cubby hole. The lighting in the rooms are not daylight bright. Unfortunately the labels for the controls are all in Chinese and the sequence to switch thing on and off and even automatic drawing of the curtains are cryptic. It is always trial and error each time they are used. The breakfast room is another work of artistic design, and the food range and quality are very good. The staff are helpful and give their time to help you out. The hotel is not far from a urban rail system station, and shops are nearby.
