refreshing oasis with welcoming ambiance, delightful and attentive host (Marcelo), VERY comfortable bed, nice breakfast with fresh fruit and granola, real coffee, juice, and breads; relaxing rooftop terrace to unwind and admire the late-afternoon gleaming views of the surrounding mountains; easy walking distance to many restaurants yet still quiet; not simply a nice half-way point between Santiago and San Pedro de Atacama (La Serena is a distressed, over-run mess!), but can itself be the launching pad to nearby Parque Nacional Nevado Tres Cruces, and the formidable Nevada Ojos de Salado....
