The cabin, just two, are located between Puerto Guadal and Puerto Tranquilo, by the lake General Carrera. It is a wonderful place, with a lot of trees and beautiful views, although the cabin doesn't have direct view to the lake.
The owner, Miriam, lives there and she is always available for helping you, even to suggest places to visit. She also serves dinner at the dining room that is a separate cabin. We stayed just one night and we had dinner there, it was very well prepared, it was like a family dinner. The breakfast was okay.
The cabin was very basic and needs to be improved. The finishing is too basic, with bad finishing and at a very low standard. The bathroom has broken ceramics, not enough light, the shower curtain is hanging in a wood stick, the floor of the room has some cracks, and the mattress was uncomfortable.
There is a beautiful small beach by the lake within the property, it is wonderful. It is protected of the wind, and you can swim on the clear water of the lake. For me it was very cold, so I just have a short swimming. It is usually around 40 to 50ºF, but it was sunny so you can resist for a while. The beach is about 15 minutes’ walk through a small hill.
Be prepared for the mosquitos. There are a lot of them, and they will bite you for sure if you don’t use repellent.
With a better infrastructure it could be an excellent alternative to stay there and visit a lot of other places in the area.
