Great cabin in a very private area that is not far from the Ucluelet so you have good access to restaurants and shopping. We combined our stay with fishing with our host Scott who is a great guide. His vessel and equipment is first class. This was our second trip and look very much forward to doing it again next year.

The location was very good with a great location only a short distance to the marina with great views. Very accessible to restaurant/bar with good food, reasonable prices, and lots to see if you like to go for walks.

Stayed in the Salal cabin which was very private. Short drive to beaches. One great trail just down the road. Lovely to sit in the covered hot tub and hear the forest sounds all around. We brought our own ready burn logs and enjoyed a cozy fire every night. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathroom had a beautiful tiled waterfall shower as well as a soaker tub with a view. Agree with previous reviews that the futon sofa could use a new cushion. Would come again.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Salal cabin.  One big open area, bed flowing to living room and then small kitchen.  Loved the hot tub just outside of the front door.  Electric baseboard heat otherwise bring your own wood to burn. The heated bathroom floors was comforting. The futon could use a refresh but all amenities is good condition. Kitchen is well stocked with utensilsto cook with. There was a bbq but we didn't use. Very comfortable king bed.  Trees provided privacy between other cabins.  Owner was responsive to any questions and I would come again.

A simply amazing stay in beautiful accommodations. Very well appointed cabin with everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen, big comfortable bed, hot tube, bbq, fireplace, large bathroom with a big soaker tub and a large separate walk-in shower, wi-fi and located in a quiet area in the woods. If that was not enough add a fishing charter with Scott for the complete experience. Cannot wait to return.

We stayed here for one week and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation.  The cabin was professionally built and featured beautiful local wood from Vancouver Island plus stone tiles in the kitchen and bath.  The bathroom was especially nice; large with a spacious bath and tiled shower, plus heated tile floors.  

We were fresh off an Alaska cruise and in the mood for our own cooking, so the full, if small, kitchen was perfect.  We were also in the mood for some walks on the wonderful beaches in the area.  Pacific Rim National Refuge and its many beautiful trails are only a few miles down the highway while Ucluelet's town maintained coastal trails are even closer.

Scott, the owner, is always available if there is something you need.  I mentioned I'd like to have a top for the frying pans and, presto, a new glass top showed up on our front porch.

This cabin and the setting really are as good as such accomodations get.  Enjoy!

We stayed in the Salal cabin July 8-12/17. It has all the basics in the kitchen, except in pristine shape, and even the knives are sharp. A fantastic washroom with soaker tub and cozy shower stall. A bed that could tempt you to sleep in if it weren't for the hiking on the Wild Pacific trails. The deck was nice, with a hot tub that was great after a day spent hiking. A wood fireplace inside to keep you toasty on the cool evenings. Wifi worked well. The cabin is so private, nestled in the forest, and although there are neighbours, we never heard them except for the occasional vehicle driving past the rear of the cabin from the shared driveway. It was a perfect four nights. We recommend staying here whole heartedly. Scott was easy to deal with, even giving us directions on our first day there looking for one of the hiking trails. 

I stayed here in the Salal cabin in July. It was a really good stay and I can recommend this cabin for a comfortable stay. 

The area is quiet and private with a hot tub on the front deck. It's more shallow than it appears in the photos, but it was good for a hot soak. The cabin is small but there's enough room for two easily. We stayed with 2 kids on the futon and it was fine for us. 

The cabin was clean and was stocked enough for us to easily prepare family meals. There's a flat screen TV and a DVD player that had Netflix on it for the kids to watch in the evening. The king bed was comfortable and the bathroom was huge. The host was easy to get in touch with and provided us with directions to amenities in the area. 

The cabin is close to the town and it was more than close enough to the beaches. I'd certainly stay here again. 

Needed somewhere to stay near Tofino and opted for this lovely cabin.  We have been really pleased as it has been quiet, cosy, lovely comfy bed, goood bath and shower, hot tub.
Ideal little hideaway for a couple within easy reach of ucluelet and half an hour from tofino, lovely!

I stayed at the Clearwater cabin with my brother and it suited our needs very well. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable and well furnished with rustic chic decorations (think lots of wood details). The bed was very comfortable and my brother was happy enough on the futon. The kitchen had all the dishes and implements we needed to do some cooking, including a BBQ (although there was a stove but no oven). 

Wifi worked well enough to email and surf the web, but not to stream video. We had some movies on a laptop, which we could hook up to the TV. 

The hot tub was a nice feature - we couldn’t figure out one of the hot tub cleaning features, but other than that it worked well. 

I was also pleased that the cabin had heat as I am often cold. It was great for the spring, although I’m not sure I would want to be there in winter when it would be very wet and cold. 

Overall, it was a great stay and worked well for what we needed.
