The entire resort, the facilities, rooms, restaurant and staff are absolutely exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I'd like to in particular thank Charmaine at the office; the Resort Manager; and at the Acacia Terrace Cafe, the restaurant manager and Taboga for the excellent service we received. We were celebrating an important birthday for my dad who was turning 82 and they pulled out all the stops. At the restaurant, the staff decorated the table beautifully, created a stunning balloon wall and the service was AMAZING. I can not thank them enough for helping us to make the evening so special.  The rooms are spacious and clean, the resort is clearly well maintained and the staff very friendly. I highly recommend this resort and we will be back in the future.  I also highly recommend the game drive and the Body Bliss Day Spa. Only a short drive  to Pilanesberg Game Reserve and Sun City.

After looking at the bad reviews I can see that many people are just outright lying. There is service plentiful. The owners stay there and the food is excellent. It's the same owner of Steve's steakhouse and I have to say I enjoyed my time there.

The environment is healing, the rooms are a marvel to be in and over and above, the people (staff) - a joy to be with.
This place is my annual holiday destination. I sincerely recommend The Kingdom to those who seek tranquillity and total relation.

I don't know why this place receives so many bad reviews.  We almost didn't stay here for our extra days before the conference, and I would have been so mad if I had allowed myself to be swayed by the reviews.  No, the rooms are not super modern and updated, but they are large and clean enough and any problems (such as the broken hot water heater in ours) are fixed quickly.  No, the service is not the best I have ever experienced in Asia, but it is not as bad as many reviews would seem to imply.  Yes, it is far out of town, which was nice and quiet except for the wedding music that woke us up early one morning.  

The highlights of this place are twofold...

1.) The food at the restaurant was amazing (especially the greek salad called "Athena" and their freshly made pitas with hummus and tzatziki) and...

2.) The pool area was awesome for kids.  

For our conferences, which we attend every other year in Southeast Asia, we have experienced a wide variety of service and amenities.  This is not a 5 star hotel...it is a budget friendly hotel with LARGE family rooms ($60-65 per night including breakfast) with the best pool area I have seen in this level of hotel and a wonderful selection of Western and Asian food.  Know what to expect and you will really enjoy your stay here.  If you are looking for spacious rooms, a nice pool for your kids, and good food choices, this is an excellent choice!  If you are expecting the Four Seasons or Thai style service, look elsewhere and expect to pay more.

This place is wonderful for families for a day visit. The pool is excellent and features water slides for young and older children. It has a great deep end. There is also a regular playground and tennis court ($6 per hour court fee) 
Everything is well maintained, safe and clean. 
There are a lot of seating and lounging options, all with shade and some areas have fans. 
We found the staff really attentive, polite and friendly. The service was not lacking in any way. 
The toilet and change room are clean and good quality, and they have liquid soap dispensers in the showers. 
The kids just loved this place and wore themselves out in the pool. 
The only downside is the food is not cheap and they didnt have some of the items on the menu. Its not expensive food by any means, just not as generous as other places Ive been to. The service was great, however, and the food came out quickly. 
Costs are $4 per person to swim, or you can hire a room for $20 and stay the day. This would be handy if you have young children or babies that need a sleep. 
Bear in mind, they dont tolerate swimming in clothing, so bring your swimwear. They also sell swimwear if you need to buy some. They also do not allow you to bring in food from outside (fair enough!) 
Getting there: Highway 1 is under construction, so the road is bumpy in places and sometimes congested. I recommend leaving the resort around 3pm to avoid the jam if you are going back into Phnom Penh. The address may be confusing, and another address may come up if you do a map search. The resort is south of Monivong Bridge, at number 102, Lum Street (take a right hand turn off Highway 1). 

Compared to a number of other pools we have visited in Cambodia, this one is top of the list for Phnom Penh.

We stayed here for a night and it was downright frightening. The rooms looked a century old. Tap wasn't working well, and there was an enormous lizard by the wall welcoming us into our room. There wasn't any other guest in the entire place except us. Theres no reception, no staff. If you wanna stay overnight, don't. Its an enormous rip off, i've been to far better hotels with a cheaper price. Plus our neighbours were monks, we could hear monk enchantments all evening. It was terrifying.
