We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a really nice stay. The place it's very clean and everything smells nice. Every room had its own bathroom and there's a shared kitchen. The rooms are really big and so are the bathrooms. There is no front desk but you can easily get in touch by calling the owner cell phone. The location is excellent, right in the old town... The only downside is that, if you come by car, it's a bit hard to find a parking spot. The owner was really helpful and even sent someone to assist us to park the car. It's a really nice place to stay in Veliko.

Great place

We have been on the road for 4 weeks. We just received the most personal and pleasant hospitality that we feel compelled to write this glowing but in every way accurate review of the Guesthouse.

To begin with some context, the city is under major renovation in several important streets. There is somehow no signage to most of the roads being paved, and unfortunately the path towards the Guesthouse was precisely in this predicament. We were carrying two large luggages and were caught in the middle of stones and cement. The fact that we walked uphill for 30 minutes under the scorching heat (because no taxi drivers were willing to take us) added salt to our wound.

By no fault of the residence, Silvia the owner (or manager?) apologized for our desperate situation on behalf of the taxi drivers and poor roads. She not only asked her staff to carry our luggage, but treated us to their homemade lemonade. We felt so pampered that we felt like actual “guests” and not just a “customer”, which is above and beyond any expected hospitality of an industrially run Guesthouse. It transformed one of our most nightmarish ordeal into a memorable one to savor.

On the day of our departure, we had to leave early and she was fearful that no taxi drivers were going to take us again. Her husband Lubo (also a manager/owner) actually drove us to the bus station. I am at a loss speech for their thoughtfulness.

Hospitality aside, the rooms were modern and immaculately clean. There was unlimited hot water (a real luxury for us) and the staffs were at all times responsive. The location cannot be more central as it is right next to the Samovdovska Charshia. Guests receive a 10% discount off in their restaurants, Hadji Nikoli Inn, which is a terrific restaurant in every way corroborated by TA and other review websites. 

In the thirty odd countries we have travelled to, this must have been a top 5 experience. Thank you so much.



Unprecedented Hospitality

Fantastic place - new, simple design, well-maintained, extremely helpful staff, brilliant location, the lack of view towards the natural scenery outside was well compensated by the complete and utter quietness at night, great value for money.

Amazing place

It was a very nice experience the stay in this guest house. The location is excellent, on a wonderful narrow street in the middle of the old town. Opposite the guest house is a great restaurant where you can eat very good at affordable prices and you also receive 10% discount as you are a guest in White House. Also this restaurant has a museum upstairs and you can enjoy a nice evening with live piano music. If you intend to stay in this place during a cold winter you might have a problem as the only heating source is the AC. For summer I think is great because all the rooms have enough shadow. The rooms have card access, a big bed or 2 single bed joined, flat TV also with romanian channels, a big wardrobe ; some rooms have 2 arm chairs and a table and for example room no 2 has an extensible sofa where can be accommodated very easy another person. The bath and the wc are in 2 separate rooms, the only inconvenient is that the shower doesn't have a bath or at least a curtain, is open space, you have to stay directly on the hone and all the room can be full of water in the end . At the second floor is a shared kitchen where you have everything you need and also a small terrace for smoking. The guest house doesn't have a private parking and this may be a problem during the summer season. There is a public parking in the end of the street, not very far from the guest house and this can be an option. Very close you can also find a lot of charming artisanal shops, a supermarket opened till 21:00, a small traditional cafe where you can drink the best coffee made in the traditional turkish style, at sand. You can reach by a 10 minutes walk Tsarevets ar the new city center.

great experience, great value for money

This is a small house with just four guest rooms and a shared kitchen. it's excellently situated in the heart of the old town. The rooms are spacious, and the kitchen is useful for preparing drinks or your own food. Ideal for people who don't mind doing without hotel services.
