I spent two nights in this place and I prefer to forget about myself. the second night we hear about 3:00 a.m. a drunk who cursed and at some point he tried to enter our room thinking it was the bathroom. needless to say I haven't slept anymore. the gentle and available owners but I don't know how to give permission to open a hotel in those conditions.

From the name, I expected better.

Ideally located at the foot of the cathedral and the historic centre of Antwerp with plenty of restaurant around personal tres pleasant breakfast varied and copious wanted clean and functional room the only HIC is that the wall or is the shower and the toilet is not closed up to the ceiling

The Maison d'Anvers is a 1-star hotel which means the amenities you expect to be there may not be there (contrary to popular belief the star ratings in Europe are not an endorsement of the hotel, only a description of what they have on site).

Do not let this deter you from the Maison d'Anvers. The only thing the hotel lacks is a lift/elevator. And, surprisingly, there was a small refrigerator in the room (they need to be regraded because of this).

The Maison d'Anvers could not be closer to the cathedral and the square. It is run by a lovely woman, her mom, and a phenomenal Dogue de Bordeaux named Olaf.

If only the sheets had a few less holes and all the lights in my room worked I would give it a '4'.

So Close to Great

Maison d’Anvers is in the centre of the historical area of Antwerp, next to the Cathedral and within short walking distance of many attractions such as the Grote Markt, Vleeshius, het Steen along the river Schelde, the  Kloosterstraat , Rubens House, many others including the Meir for shopping.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially the reception.
Breakfast was excellent, buffet style and was included in the price.
Our room was comfortable and clean.
All in all a very enjoyable short break, definitely recommend.

Great stay, great location

Located, 50 seconds walk from the Grote Markt and next to the Antwerp Cathedral, a strategic location to walk around the city if you only have one weekend available.Hall small, very friendly staff who speak English, French and Flemish fluently. Room and bathroom of acceptable size, TV flat screen large bed, machine for coffee SENSEO and boiler for water in the room.Frigobaroto, not bad for me so much I usually never use it.

Inside the historic centre of Antwerp

I'll start by saying that the structure is practically attached to the cathedral of Antwerp, which means that you'll be in the center near almost everything and above all you'll be in the pedestrian zone, I'm specifying this for those who want to get there by car, so know that the car should be left at the underground parking lot that's nearby or the one on the street, know that the parking lots are very expensive, the underground one goes beyond the euro per day and the one on the street beyond the seven euro for about 3 hours (not renewable), so before you choose this hotel you'll be in a regular personal area.

The strength of this hotel is certainly its very central location but to be a three star hotel it has many from the very uncomfortable stairs!! There is to say, however, that we were three and we were pleasantly impressed by the warmth of the staff, their availability and why not also by their subtle sympathy!!!

Hotel overbooking, we were moved to a very noisy hotel next door and had to share the bathroom (without keys).

Very central location. Completely renovated and comfortable rooms. Very nice staff, ready to help and satisfy their guests. Rich buffet breakfast. I recommend this hotel. The only problem: the triple room No. 9 lacked the bathroom door!
