Just coming back from a choir tour to Vienna with 26 University students from the UK. Many of the students said this hostel was one of the best hostels they’d ever stayed in. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was fine. The bar was open 24/7. As a group leader, I got four free coffees a day which was much appreciated. The reception desk were very helpful with things like loaning out fans (heatwave in Europe when we arrived!) and storing refrigerated medication. Our rooms were on the 1st floor so didn’t get much of a sense of the size of the hostel. We had a mix of twin rooms and 6 bed dorms, and all were very spacious, with en suite. Hostel could be a little loud at night with lots of groups, but that’s par for the course with a hostel, and staff were excellent at enforcing the quiet after 10pm rule. Location was very good indeed - so near the Hauptbahnhof which is not only great for travel, but lots of supermarkets/fast food if you’re eating on a budget. In sum - if you want a hostel, with everything that comes with a hostel, this is great.
