Omesberg

I like this hotel. It's a 7 min downhill walk (in ski boots) from the lifts, it's in a good location if skiing. There is a bus stop 1 min away if you wish to head to Zurs. Which is very handy as it's a much quicker way to get on the St Anton side of the mountain. The best thing are the staff. All wonderfully attentive, courteous and thoughtful. Viktoria was usually or waitress and she did an outstanding job. Food is generally good, with a choice of fish or meat. You can get pasta if you ask. We had a great room on the top floor with loads of space. The place is spotless. Tried the sauna/steam room which was nice. You don't need a costume. We didn't take advantage of the ski room, as we stored ours near the lifts to save carting them to and fro. You can actually ski back to the hotel, but it's on an unpisted trail, from Zurs and not for beginners. Whether by design or chance we were given the same table each day in the restaurant with other Brits who were staying which was great as we could swap stories and ideas, this added so much to the stay. Another nice touch was a packed lunch on departure as we were too early for breakfast. I would definitely stay again.
