Stayed in the gorgeous private bedrooms (with shared bathroom) which were super comfy and provided towels. Very good value for money with great kitchen facilities, lots of places to lounge around and many blue mountain walk/hiking books which were extremely useful.

No 14 is a simply delightful place to stay.  It’s perfect for solo travellers who would like convivial company as well as the privacy of their own room.  The house is extremely comfortable with a very pleasant outside seating area.  The owners have put a lot of thought into organising the kitchen etc and got struck a good balance between communicating what the arrangements are without over complicating it.  Excellent location - it is within walking distance of the station.  Very good value

What an amazing home from home…… as an older couple we stayed in a private room upstairs. Cooking facilities were great and it’s only a short trip to the bathroom downstairs (do not let the lack of an en-suite put you off) we were blessed to meet so many fabulous people on our 3 nights here and so good to have a shared experience rather than a ubiquitous hotel stay. Everything you could imagine is thought of, gorgeous decor, library and the lovely owner gave us a free copy of her guide book, we had a good read then left it to be re read when we went to Bondi…. Thank you for the best experience. It’s only a 30 to 40 minute walk to echo point - why not get up early and head here for sunrise… it’s spectacular. Short walk into katoomba and amazing public transport links 👍

We got ourselves a private room upstairs for the week and could not have loved it more. Our favourite hostel in our whole visit to Australia!

A really lovely, cosy place to stay just a short walk from Katoomba high street and train station. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the whole place was very clean. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Katoomba!

My second time staying with Anette at Lovel Street and it felt like coming home. Ideally placed for all the Blue Mountains has to offer , a short walk into Katoomba. Anette is a wealth of knowledge about the area. Bathroom and toilets are imaculate and the rooms are cosy ( i have stayed in room 11 twice). The Kitchen facilities are well organised and guests are respectful. Great good value accomodation and would be a great place to hire out for a large family event.  

A lovely, quiet, well equipped hotel.  Annette could not have been more helpful. The room had loads of space and storage and the kitchen was great.  It is not a rowdy place.  We liked Leura, just down the road more than Katoomba.  Access to the local trails was excellent and we would recommend the undercliff route at Wentworth Falls

We had a really nice stay at 14 Lovel Street. The house itself is beautiful and very characterful, and our room likewise. The kitchen was very clean and extremely well stocked with pots/pans etc, and plenty of fridge and cupboard space to store our groceries. The communal areas were also very clean and it was nice to be able to chat with the other guests. We would recommend to anyone travelling to the Blue Mountains and looking for excellent value accommodation 

Charming, characterful, friendly hostel in the heart of the Blue Mountains, in Katoomba. Spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge area and social dinning area with cosy fire. Owner has renovated the hostel over the COVID period and is friendly and very knowledgeable on the area and has published a book and articles. It is lovely place to stay for all the main highlights in the Blue Mountaains

This hostel was lovely to stay in. It had a cute cottage feel with cosy communal sitting area and group dinning table making it easy to get to know your fellow guests. The kitchen was great to cook in with lots of equipment and breakfast cereal in the morning . The room was a good size and had a comfy bed, great after a day out walking.

For a solo traveller, this is a great place to stay. You have the option to be social able if you want. The little lounge areas are nice.

Cosy cottage hostel

This Air BnB style hostel feels like a mountain cottage and made for a cozy 3 nightstay in Katoomba during Sydney’s winter months. The kitchen is clean with a very nice spread of grains and coffee and tea for breakfast. Lots of plants growing in the bathroom! After a day exploring the blue mountains, I couldn’t wait to take a hot shower and relax at Lovel St. The wrap-around verandah is a lovely spot to gaze at the mountain town. Thanks Annette!
