13 reviewsMy husband and I stayed here for two nights when my son got married on the 23rd of March 2019. The homestead is just breathtaking. Our room was much larger than anticipated with a gorgeous big bed and our own ensuite with ample towels supplied. Our bedroom had french doors which opened up and we left them open throughout the night for that lovely fresh country air to enter to room. We found the room beautifully decorated and to us, this was truly Georgian inspired, which we both loved. Upstairs was a communal lounge with tea/coffee making facilities. I was in heaven and felt spoilt for choice with the different variety of coffees and teas. It was such a nice spot for us to congregate with the bride and her bridesmaids the night before the wedding. The downstairs lounge was gorgeous, though none of us actually spent time in there as we were so comfortable in the upstairs communal lounge. The breakfast room was adorable, cozy and we enjoyed the variety of goodies on offer we could have for breakfast, just perfect! We traveled for 7 hours by car with the 4 individual wedding cake tiers I made for the bride and groom. As soon as we arrived, I was able to toddle off to the reception room, unlock, go through to the cool room, turn it on and placed the cake boxes inside. The next morning at 8 am, I returned to the reception room where I stacked and finished off the cake. Everything went like a well-oiled machine and there was no stress whatsoever. Sue, Olivia and their staff are to be commended for the beautiful experience they provide their guests. We found them extremely hospitable, accommodating and friendly. They truly went out of their way to make sure our son and his bride had the wedding of their dreams and those who stayed overnight in the homestead, had a very pleasant stay.
