Owner comes in regularly, no lockers in rooms but just outside, free laundry, WIFi is a bit slow, free pasta and Staples, two kitchens. Extended my stay many times. Would definitely stay again and would recommend. A bit of a walk to the city center but worth it. 

If you're looking for home and family that's definitely the right place for you!
Super friendly staff who treats you like A family. There was one night I didn't come back home, all the people in the backpacker was trying to contact me. 
This is a really sweet hostel and they do care about you.

Had a very nice time in this hostel. It really feels like home. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchens are clean and tidy. The layout of the hostel really allows you to be social, there is a nice dining table in the kitchen, people often eat together and talk here. A chilled out TV room/ lounge, outdoor you can have a bbq and chill out under the stars. Recommend to all who dont seek a commerical party hostel, and want to feel at home.

When I arrived there, I have to afford that I was afraid, but one time you crossed the door, you find your home. That's simple, hostel at a human size, maximum 15 people at the same time, so everybody knows everybody. It became really fast a family. The location is symply perfect. Just go there.

Max's Awsome time at wickham!

Excellent

First week in Australia : PERFECT

Friendly, helpful staff, good strong pre-arrival communication, quiet neighborhood.

Facilities just okay, a bit crowded in indoor common areas if hostel is full or it’s raining or cold outdoors.   The whole place could do with a feng shui makeover.

WiFi was often very slow.  Unable to upload any 6-8MB pics during my 7-night stay, though I tried many times to several sites over multiple days from both the dorm room and lounge.  Best to complete all time-sensitive online tasks before arriving here.

Recommended improvements:  add a personal light to each bunks, right now just the one wan overlight is insufficient and inconvenient especially when someone fires it up very late or very early.

An Okay Hostel, Quiet Neighborhood, Good Night's Sleep

Pictures of that place have to be easily 10+ years old. Small, hot, cramped and dirty. I seriously couldn’t believe half the BS written in the reviews. Smelled like body odor and old socks! It’s 87 degrees outside and no air con on! The staff don’t check IDs or give receipts for payments. Left and found another safer option! Place is a flop house not a hostel.
