What a delightful surprise Rooster's Rest is. A beautiful, clean cottage set in relaxing native gardens abounding with birdlufe. Extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. A superb welcome platter was waiting in the fridge when we arrived. Brekky is included with cereals, yoghurt, juice, croissants, bacon and eggs. Also some muffins and banana bread for a snack There are so many different teas and coffees to choose from.  Thoroughly recommend to everyone. We only had 1 night but could easily have stayed longer.

Located just off the main road, in a tranquil but very convenient rural location. Roosters Rest was a perfect choice for my wife & I. Immaculately clean, well appointed, with all facilities, an antipasto platter, and complimentary breakfast provisions. To have an entire bungalow to ourselves is rare indeed. Easy access to Hawley and Shearwater beaches from here.

This is a large , modern and well appointed B & B . Every thing you could want is there only wish we had booked more time there , Great cheese plater on arrival and every thing you could want for breakfast and a bit more . Believe the reviews

unique experience

When we walked in we were immediately impressed with the presentation and cleanliness. 
Then to our surprise we saw a basket full of breakfast goodies and later opened the fridge to more goodies.  Vicki was really helpful, we would have loved to stay an extra night, unfortunately it was booked out. 
If you want somewhere amazing to stay, this is the place.

Amazing B&B

We have just returned from a getaway at Roosters Rest. We live in Launceston and just wanted a night away for our anniversary. Well, why didn’t I know about this fabulous place. My goodness. It will certainly be a regular from now on. We travel quite a bit and can honestly say, this is the nicest, home away from home. Everything about Roosters Rest is 5 stars. We stayed in the Welsumer Lodge. We arrived and well, what a surprise. Everything looked exactly as it does on the web site. Furnishings/furniture and everything was quality and absolutely everything had been thought of. In the fridge was a beautiful cheese/fruit platter, breakfast provisions which inc,,  a large bottle of orange juice, yoghurts, banana bread, English muffins, eggs (from their own chickens) bacon, butters, jams, croissants, local milk, quite a few containers of cereals. Kitchen well equipped with everything from glad wrap, foil, paper towel, oils, etc. everything you could possibly need. 
Bathroom had shampoo/conditioner (large) not little sample size, packet make up wipes, etc.. bedroom downstairs elegantly decorated, walk in robe shelving, even Lindt chock on the bed. Bedroom up stairs (loft area) equally tastefully decorated, also a single bed in there as well, 3rd bedroom downstairs - single bed and also washing machine-laundry. The wrap around deck all undercover and gate so if you have a dog, they are safe and could run around there. Outdoor furniture. 
Ordered fish and chips from local and was delivered promptly and was delicious. 
The quietest location, wallaby’s popping by. It really is the perfect  getaway. Just wish we could have stayed longer. There is also the seabright lodge which is much smaller and  1 x br accom. 
Sorry, this is longer than I intended but was just so impressed with Roosters Rest. So if you are thinking of visiting, do it, but you may need to book in advance as this is such a popular destination.

What an amazing hidden gem right under our nose.

This was a great place to stay, spacious, modern, and would have loved to have stayed longer!! Huge breakfast supplied, and what a surprise to have a lovely cheese platter on arrival. Only thing we would have liked in the laundry would be a dryer too. Thanj you very much for your hospitality!!

Best B & B stay!

This little treasure is amazing. Peaceful private gardens surround clean spacious cottages for a couple or a family. Breakfast is in your fridge and covers every possibility from breads to eggs and bacon juice cereal etc. As I arrived late in the day my hosts had cooked a quiche for me to be heated in the microwave and the heater was on in the little house. Their friendly dog greeted me every time I arrived back home. I would recommend this lovely spot to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway in Port Sorell. 

Getaway 

Four of us stayed for 2 nights at Roosters Rest. 
I have never stayed somewhere where everything had been thought of. From our welcome cheese platter to the fabulous breakfast provided. 
The cottage was beautifully presented and clean with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The attention to detail was outstanding and appreciated.

Absolutely loved the Roosters Rest. Situated just out of town but fantastic spot just the same. 
The owners supply you with an abundance of goodies for your stay. 
The rooms and home itself is just fantastic. 
Definitely worth a stop over.

Fantastic BnB Port Sorell

A haven of peace and tranquility where one can hear and enjoy the birds early morning.  The welcome platter was a definite unexpected, lovely surprise.  Breakfast, well what can I say, a cut above the rest, indeed.
Will definitely go back.
