Hostel is very difficult to find, even with Google Maps. 
When we arrived around 5:00 PM, the reception was open, but the host was sleeping. We had to wake him up, and became rude and angry at us. He said that even if we booked a room with booking, there was no room available anymore. 
After a phone call, he found a room, and requested us to pay in advance. 

He said that he would find easily other clients, and yelled at us. 

Even if the rooms looks clean with a nice view, i would not recommend this hostel, and prefer giving my money to other friendly hotels. 

It was the worst experience of my 20days trip in Albania. I did not felt welcomed at all, and the host was horrible.

The worst experience in Albania

Hotel relatively easy to find. Only positive point. No one has the reception. The receptionist wakes up grumpy to announce that he has no room despite our reservation. He finally finds a room under his hat, and asks us for cash in advance payment for the 3 nights booked. Nothing ever seen during our trip. We refuse and the person becomes aggressive and argument by saying that we woke him up, that he has given us the keys and that the room has a bathroom (outside, accessible by the balcony) and view of the sea. The basics of the hotel and the room corresponding no more or less to our reservation. Arguments so..... And has my proposal to pay in advance, sir, the night is contradictory and ultimately we don't want to find any more accommodation facilities.

The worst reception in 10 days in Albania.

We stayed for one night in the Gjika Hostel. First the Host was very kind to us. But as we told him we would prefer the cheaper dormitory instead of the more expensive private room, he became rude. Further he didn’t stopped asking us to pay immediately. So we didn’t felt welcome at all. We’ve stayed in many charming  hostels in Albania on our trip, but this one was the worst. Although it was mostly clean and the value is ok, i wouldn’t recommend this hostel. There are better options in this area.

Stayed for a night there and it was good. Dimitri was a good host, the restaurant tip was really good. It’s a bit to walk, or better climb up the hill from the beach. But it’s situated in a more local quit area.

Good value for the money

Well this place was near the beach and fast food which was awesome, but it also was such a wonderful vibe where you could chill out and cook your own dinner ame enjoy the balcony's sunset. The staff also were great people to ask for information about the cool city.

Hitch hiking again

This hostel has very friendly host, who speaks fluent english. The room was clean and had an airconditoner. Only bad thing was that the hostel was up in the hill, so it was ecxhausting walk there on a hot day.

Nice place in quiet area

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel from which you can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. The room was spacious and clean, the owners were kind and available. You can use the kitchen and from the common terrace you enjoy a beautiful view. The wifi works well and the price is a deal. The bathroom should be renovated.

A pleasant stay

It's a great hostel, it's close enough to the sea, a 5-minute walk from the center, quiet, comfortable, responsive hosts, no complaints, any issues resolved in the shortest possible time, the owner's son, local guide, if desired, can take you and tell you about the sights, truth for a fee.
