Share Dorm Hostel

This was absolutely our worst hostel during our stay in Vietnam. We stayed here three nights in the biggest shared dorm room. Instead of sharing it with other travelers (none, we were the only one in the hostel) we had to share it with the staff. They were walking in the room all the time at the weirdest times and were not very quiet. They would just lay in every bed and sleep. Also, the bathrooms were really smelly and we found hairs everywhere. Absolutely do not recommend this place, even though it is not expensive. You better pay a bit more to get more.

‘Share’ with the staff

My friend and me came to Hue and stayed at Share Dorm 3 nights. I felt so good when i stayed here. Especial, staffs is kindly. She helped us booked city tour. Thank you so much about that.
In front of have coffee shop, in the morning we will enjoy our breakfast and drink good coffee.
We will come back here.

Amazing !!

we are 4 girls travelling and obviously were looking for the cheapest place to stay. For £3 a night including breakfast (eggs on toast or jam and toast) this was the cheapest option and looked decent. 

HOWEVER, one night my 3 friends went out for dinner around 8:30pm, I stayed at the hostel because I was ill. Around 10:30pm they rang me saying they were locked out (this is standard procedure they lock the gates at 10pm and you have to ring the bell to reception and they come and let you in) HOWEVER, there was no one in reception, so I went upstairs shouting and looking for anyone who worked there MAY I ADD THERR WAS NO ONE ELSE IN THE HOSTEL! NOT A SINGLE SOUL I WAS THE ONLY PERSON. And after banging on all of the doors upstairs it became clear nobody was in. I went back downstairs to my friends who had been locked out for around 45 minutes at this point. 

Beginning to get concerned I thought I was going to have to pack them a bag and tell them to go to a different hostel for the night. We had been calling the number on the panel for 45 minutes and could hear the phone ringing and ringing. 

About 30 minutes after this, 3 of the workers returned laughing and joking, they unlocked the gate and explained WITH NO APOLOGY!!! That they had gone out and simply locked me in (a young female girl ON MY OWN!) and locked everyone else out whilst they’d gone for drinks. This is so dangerous as if a fire or emergency had happened I wouldn’t be able to get out, and similarly the hostel is located down a dark alley, so is unsafe for 3 young girls to be lingering late at night. 

When I expressed my anger towards the situation they simply laughed in my face. Absolute disgrace I have never ever been treated like that by a hostel owner before. 

The beds were comfortable but mosquitos everywhere & the bathrooms stink like a post night out poo. 

Upon check out I explained we would not be laying the full price for the 3 nights as this scenario wouldn’t happen. The rude rude man started shouting but eventually we only had to pay for 2 nights. Worst hostel ever 

DO NOT STAY HERE

The place was clean and tidy and the customer help was very friendly and helpful. 
  You should though, be very careful with people tryin to scam tourists in that part of the town. One guy tried to convince me that he has relatives in my country, to get a reason to chat with me. I left when he started to offer me "free" boat ride.

Good value

Memorable place with very friendly and helpful staff. Has a good location with a 5 minute walk to the walking street where all the main cafes, bars and restaurants are. Enjoyed our 3 nights stay for sure and would definitely come back to this hostel! - Philippe 

Excellent staff

Plug sockets for each bedBig lockers Light for each bed Curtains around each bed (although transparent at the top) Great coffee shop attached, serving really good coffee. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English. 

Great Hostel

Found the place on booking.com as cheap, was not disappointed, could be much more expensive for what they offer. The place is clean, strong WiFi, really nice café in the front (they offered me a free coffee as well). The staff is really nice and helpful; overall awesome experience.

Awesome

It's in the middle of the city, but it's also quiet. Breakfast is good, people are very nice, nice, the lit is comfortable and modern.

Great place to uncover Hue.

Recommended by a French traveler I went to the Sharedorm.It is in the backpackers' zone of Hué and has places to eat, drink or party next door.Rooms with a/a, clean bathrooms, good wifi and beer and cafe at the best price I have ever seen in a hostel in Vietnam, a freshly made breakfast and the people of the staff inmejorable.I could not describe in words how I was treated and how well I felt with them, no dudeis, mingling with these boys and girls is the best thing you can do in Hué.Big hug from Tai ba ba ba ba ba!!

The best staff in all of Vietnam

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The toilets smell extremely bad (breaking bad) especially after a night of brushing your teeth in the morning. The beds are okay to sleep on. You have locker rooms that are very nice. And a curtain for privacy.
