Hotel management and staff were very helpful with the stay, arranging site seeing excursions and with laundry service.  Room was small, but nice, and had a large bathroom.  View was looking over Hanoi Old Quarter from 6th floor.  Breakfast was simple, not huge options, but enough to get what you need.  Easy walking distance of many old quarter shops and restaurants.  Took some effort to find as Google Maps places you in wrong spot a block west of actual location, but if you look for the building address you will find it.

This place is clean & efficient.  Staff are wonderful.

Breakfast was good, tour they are selling is very expensive, you can find better price outside the  hotel.

This is an excitement hotel. I stayed for a few weeks in a city view room. It was large clean and spacious.The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is quite good, especially the fruits, such sweet pineapples! 😋They have good spa services and the tours are quite well priced as well. This is in old quarter so weekends can get a little rowdy at night. I love watching the traditional dance theater on the street every weekend. It's only a few feet away by foot from the hotel. There are also many delicious restaurants and cafes very close by.

BEAUTIFUL place to stay in the Old QuarterIn real estate they say it's all about location, location, location. In the tourist industry I say it's all about the staff, staff, staff. This place not only is located in a very convenient location in the heart of the Old Quarter, the staff is fantastic! The Manager Philip is a handsome man that runs a tight ship. He is very knowable person and willing to help make your stay memorable. The staff is there to actually serve the traveler needs.. Fun place to use as your home base as you wander the streets and enjoy the sites.

SUPER AMAZING PACKAGEOur group have fantastic times in Hanoi SILK GRAND PRMEIUM  Hotel. We did to booked only 1 night on Expedia website and upon arrival, we booked our AMAZING PACKAGE as Ha long bay 2 days 1 night on Premium cruise   Sapa trekking 3 days-4 nights   Hoa Lu - Tamcoc 1 day tour by Mr. PHILIP was SUPER, amazing tour and secret deal. Our rooms at Panda Hotel is Small but very clean, romantic decor in our beds with Petals rose flower, i loved my room. Their staffs was super friendly, charming and they are always try to helped us with big smiles AND special Mr. PHILIP ( My prince ) helped us to booked SUPER amazing package and show the best restaurants, great coffee, a good place to seeing. Thank you very much to all Staffs of silk grand premium HOTEL and we're highly to recommending THE SILK GRAND PREMIUM  HOTEL to everyone and SPECIAL TO MY COUNTRY. LET BOOKING IT !!!

Super... Great spot in the heart of Old QuarterLoved this hotel. All the staff were just wonderful and so helpful. The hotel is very clean,  . This was in a great location in the Old Quarter , you can walk anywhere . Philip  organised a tour for us to Halong Bay and certainly didn’t disappoint. We had a fabulous time. Great value for money. Will definitely recommend and stay here again

Stuff was excellent, a very good breakfast convenient to bus lines Railroad Station many attractions. Excellent Spa service

We arrived very tired. Our room we paid for was room with a city view. The only window in the room was inside the shower cubicle in the toilet. When we spoke to the manager he said we have a city view...but i said its from inside a shower cubicle. He said sorry we cannot move you . We will see if a rooms available tomorrow. That day came and we decided after opening our luggage just to stay in that room as we were too tired to start moving again. When we told the manager he said thats a good idea your room is better anyway. So, were not happy with this. We never stay in a room without a window especially when we pay for a city VIEW!  The hotel was clean, breakfast was good. Location was fantastic!

The facilities in the annex were old but the beds were fine. Unfortunately there was no hot water in the shower.

Room with a view from the toilet!

My stay on the 5th floor was decent. It looks recently renovated and they tried to make it look premium, but you could tell it was a bit of a rush job and not much thought was put into the layout. But those are cosmetic details and aren’t deal breakers.The bed is made, but don’t think sheets and comforter are changed often. Towels (except shower mat) are changed daily, but do have some stains. One towel was really gross, looked like someone wiped their butt and then folded it back neatly. So I just tossed it on the floor for housekeeping. Kettle was clean, but cups a bit dirty, as if they just poorly rinsed them in the sink because I could see coffee stains. Water bottles, tea, and coffee provided. Good WiFi connection.Since it’s located in the bustling Old Quarter, don’t expect quiet. There were no blinds, just frosted glass so there will be plenty of natural light to wake you. I didn’t mind, but just a word of caution for light sleepers.The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had them take some clothes in the morning for laundry and got it back later that night and was given the weight. I was told to pay at checkout. The next morning, the same receptionist said they made a mistake and I had to pay for an extra kg. I didn’t have time to contest as my driver was waiting. Maybe that’s their tactic, tell you to pay as you leave when you’re likely in a rush and will concede. They need a scale onsite like most other hotels. I would stay again, but avoid other services
