This is a  very nice, clean, family friendly motel. The decor is a throwback to days gone by. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Joe at the front desk was very helpful and personable. This motel is in downtown Moab. It’s just a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops.

Our room had queen sized bunk beds which was great for 2 adults and 4 kids.  The lodge is a 1960? themed place with records hanging in the lobby and a full sized pink tub in the lobby restroom.  The breakfast was perfect and the room was clean.  They had a once in a hundred year storm roll in when we were in Arches and the crew came and mopped up the flood and took good care of us.  The kids loved the pool with the waterslide.  It's in downtown Moab, the food truck place was walking distance as were several restaurants.  We spent two nights here.  The staff works very hard, you could see that.

The location was perfect. Just one block away from the center of town. Lotsa restaurants, souvenir stores a couple of minutes walk away. The room was clean and huge. The staff are warm, friendly and ever ready to help. The outdoor heated pool was a delightful surprise as we'd visited late Fall and to swim outdoors was a blast! Our kids loved the water slide. Our 13 year old son is crazy about table tennis and it's awesome they have a table tennis table in the game room with arcade games to boot! The Expedition Lodge is a must-stay for families with young kids.  

For a revamped old motel this is an epic place.. love the retro vibes! The vinyl records, free arcade games, 60s diner lobby, heated pool and water slide, 3 queen rooms dog friendly and Main Street access are great. Beds were comfortable and clean, Faux wood floors nice and room size was large: bathrooms were the only slightly funky aspect unless you love linoleum and olive green but for the price and ease who cares. Breakfast was included and with variety of offerings including waffles, breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal in slow cooker. Exceeded my expectations for a roadside motel!

The whole place is decorated in a retro 1950's vibe and felt really cool.
Breakfast was great and your man Joe gave us top quality service. Even better than the exemplary I've come to expect from the US.

We had a great stay at this lodge. Very convenient to the rest of downtown. The slide at the pool was a huge hit with my kids. Very comfortable room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again . 

I love this place! They are extremely dog friendly (including no extra charge for dogs!) and the rooms are super clean, cute and comfortable! The pool, waterslide and arcade are awesome and breakfast was great. I also really appreciated the in room coffee maker with plenty of coffee provided. And to top it all off,  the location was fantastic. I would have stayed longer if I could have and I can't wait to go back!

My family and I love this place and just returned from our 5th visit. You can't beat the value, and the heated to 90 degrees pool and the slide are a huge hit with my kiddos. Breakfast is consistent, and what you'd expect for continental. Rooms are clean, and what you'd expect for the price. Everyone is friendly and willing to help if needed. Dogs are welcome, and no dog fee is charged. Within walking distance of most shops and restaurants in downtown. We'll be back!

We enjoyed Expedition Lodge so much! We even extended our stay. Breakfast offered is plentiful and varied, the rooms are spacious and comfy and best of all, furry family members are allowed! We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Moab!

Our stay was pleasant and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. 3 large beds for family of 4 adults was perfect with plenty of room for bags etc. Light breakfast was a bonus. Xmas lights and decorations were very cute. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Room had been renovated and was also clean.

Great location to head off to Arches National Park.  The lodge is right on Main Street where all the restaurants and bars are located.  Park at the Lodge and get some steps in to go get dinner after a long day on the road. The room is retro, cute with the old looking mini fridge. The room is spacious too.  The breakfast was OK.  The only downside is we were on the second floor and it does not have an elevator.  The lodge is pet friendly, too.

Great location to visit Arches National Park.

Exceeded expectations

I stayed here in October while visiting the National and State Parks in and around Moab.

The location can’t be beat, right in the heart of downtown Moab within walking distance of main street’s restaurants and shops. 

The room had a creaky hardwood floor and some quirky decor that reminded me of a 1950s style diner. The beds were a little soft for my taste but were comfortable enough. There was little cabinet space and just a few clothes hangers, though the front desk person gave me a couple of extra hangers. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Amenities included a mini-fridge (in the shape of a 50s style icebox), microwave oven, coffee maker, hair dryer, and big screen TV.  Breakfast consisting of cereals, muffins, pastries, fruit, and various juices was served in a small room behind the check-in area. There was free parking as well. 

I wasn’t especially impressed with this place when I first checked in, but I have to admit I grew to like it more the longer I stayed here. It has a kind of retro charm to it. Yes, it’s overpriced for what you get, but you could say that about nearly every accommodation in Moab. 

The Expedition Lodge is one of those tweener properties that is perhaps a little better than three stars but doesn’t quite merit four stars. Nevertheless, I went with the four star rating because of the optimal location and quaint decor that distinguish it from many of the chain motels in town. I would definitely consider staying here again.

We love this place! 

Really good value, comfortable place to stay.  Room we stayed in looked like it has been refreshed with paint etc and vinyl floors.  Bed was comfortable, breakfast was great and in a diner type surroundings with a lounge and games available for guests.  The pool was also heated and available in the winter.  Reception staff pointed us in the direction of places to eat for dinner.  Being winter, many spots are actually closed for the season.  Good parking on site as well.  The room had a small fridge and microwave.
