Magic Castle Hotel

What a wonderful place. It was our first time in LA, we were visiting from the UK. We turned up quite late after a day in Disneyland a were were warmly greeted and welcomed so well. There was a film 'Wonka' showing in the courtyard when we walked through which looked fun. The hotel is easy to find and parking was easy too, in the secure garage underneath. The room was fine - nothing special or wow, but everything we needed for a comfortable 2 night stay, and we had booked the most basic room, as we don't really spend much time in it! The pool was nice, in the middle of the hotel complex, with sunbeds and the famous 'popsicle hotline' which we used because the weather was soo hot during our stay. We were also offered unlimited snacks, fizzy drinks, chocolates and ice creams. The location to Hollywood was great - just a road away, 10 minutes walk. Also being next door to the Magic Castle Club was amazing - we visited on the Saturday night and had one of our best nights ever - incredible place, with lovely food and soo many different shows - loved it all. Lovely that everyone dresses up too - makes it feel special. It is 2 minutes walk away, but the kind lady behind reception offered to drop us there as there is a slight hill and we were in our posh outfits - this was very kind of her! It was an easy 2 minute stagger home at the end after a few wines! Breakfast was fine, hot drinks, juices, choice of cereals, toasts and various muffins. We were sat outside in the courtyard which was lovely. There was magician doing tricks, but he didn't come round to our table, he only seemed to stay at one table the whole time. The manager was very good, and on check-out he helped me with my case and took it down to the car park with me, chatting to me about my stay. We liked that it is a quirky, friendly, lovely hotel, not a corporate, chain hotel with no soul. Thanks again
