This place was not like the pictures.  It was so dirty we could not stay even for one night. The smell was foul like something had died in the house.  The kitchen and bathroom were dirty. Their were many old stains on the bedroom carpet.  The sheets on the bed were clean.  We had booked two nights for our return trip but when we called to cancel we were not given a refund (9 days notice). We would have need much happier in our tents.  Do not book this place

Terrible

When we showed up at this place, it was late and we were tired.  It was disgusting, there was old food sitting in pots on the stove with flies and the sink and counters were full of dirty dishes.  It is a very old musky smelling building with messed up dirty throw blankets covering the sofas.  The bathroom had gross stuff stuck to the facet where the water comes out and the bath mat had clearly not been cleaned in sometime.  The carpets are worn and stained.  We thought we might just bring in our own sleeping bags and mats, because we were heading out for a kayaking trip in the morning and we had them in our vehicle, but some of the team began to experience an allergic reactions to the environment.  We had to leave and were able to get a hotel for the night.  We contacted the host many times and were told we would be refunded, but they have not refund our money, not for this one night nor the future nights that we had booked for our return trip in 9 days.  We cancelled everything and have never been refunded anything.  Find another place to stay!

Terrible Place!!! Don't book here!

DO NOT BOOK!!! Absolutely no star!!! It is not as pictured on Booking.com. My big mistake was not to read all the reviews. But the biggest fault lies with Corey, the host of this place for not posting the true state of the place and not following through on his promises. I had three nights booked for five of us before and after our kayak trip in Glacier Bay. The rates were low for Juneau, so I expected a hostel like place. The pictures on Booking.com made it look homey and decent. When we arrived, Corey our host was not there, but we were in contact through texting. The place was filthy, kitchen a disaster, bathroom a mess, stains in the carpet... and a musty smell. After being there for 15 minutes, two of my friends were experiencing allergic reactions. I called Corey, and although he was not happy, he agreed to refund us, but I had to do it through Booking.com. Now I fully accept that I wouldn’t get refunded for that night, I was expecting a refund for the next two nights 9 days away that Booking.com told me I still could cancel free of charge. Unfortunately the site would not refund me and I was fully charged. Frantic calls to Corey, he assured me he would refund me. Since then I have tried to call many times... his voicemail is always full... once he picked up and said he would refund me that day. I asked for a call back to confirm it was done. Never done. His voicemail remains full, and he has not called, and he does not respond to messenger messages... It is now November. We have been seriously shafted. I have no idea how to move on. 

Worst experience ever

Where do I start? The pictures posted at their website all looks great. Wrong !! The place  was Filthy. Dirty dishes all over, trash overflowing, clutter everywhere.The couches looked like they were picked up off the street. The bedroom / bath was also terrible. Bed unmade , shower dirty/leaking. Needless to say we didn’t stay !

Horrible!!

This is a private home in a pleasant and modest neighborhood one mile or so from the airport.  I booked it for a one night layover.  Kitchen dishes had not been washed in a week--or more.  Dirty laundry spilled over from the washer-dryer into the hallway.  Bathroom is shared and not especially inviting.  The only positive was the housekeeper who stopped by after I arrived.  She shared pleasantly and easily information about local transportation and eating establishments.
