rent a room by the hour, bedding optional should be the title of this terrible dump !
druggies, hookers, filth and bugs…. 
they had a fire with a fatality here a few years ago and nothing has changed…   there is no local phone number…   the City should take the Owners to Court and have this place condemned and torn down…

This is the worst accommodation I have ever experienced.  Filthy carpet, broken fridge, filthy lounge suite,and when it came to the sheets they were majorly stained.  Arrived 12 midnight.  Reception girl showed us 4 rooms. They all smelt and were filthy.  She was very upset and arranged other accommodation for us.

Crap

OMG to the highest!!!! This hotel was absolutely a total dump and a waste of Alaskan property! WE arrived around 1a and as soon as we opened the door we were disappointed, looked around the rm, went to the front desk to ask questions and they were gone just that quick. Everything was rusted, outdated by 20 yrs and smelled like urine. WE were afraid to sleep on the bed and walk on the floors. We slept with clothes and hoodies on. Then got the heck out dodge that morning before checkout with the help of God and Orbitz. This was the 1st place we booked the 1st day we arrived. Please SOMEONE take this hotel off the advertising website b/c it doesn't look like what your eyes actually see. Customers DO NOT waste your time booking this hotel.

Royal Suite Lodge/Apt/Inn/Chelsea Inn

Don't even think about staying here. Sympathetic desk clerk, however.  This is a dirty, squalid long-term residency hotel and should not be advertising as a tourist hotel.  And to add insult to injury, it's not even that cheap at $89 a night.  I've been traveling in Canada and Alaska for the past several weeks and have stayed at many lovely motels and cabins at that price.  I walked into the room, discovered it was dark, dirty, smelly and didn't have a secure lock on the back window, and walked back out again and checked into another hotel.  I don't know if my money will be refunded but I wouldn't have stayed in that room if they had paid ME.

Terrifying and disgusting

This was, by far, the worst excuse for a hotel/motel I have EVER experienced!  The rooms were shabby and dirty....it was terrible!!!  I don't know how they are licensed.  This was the first place we booked on our dream vacation in Alaska.  And, needless to say, our perception of Alaska couldn't have started out on a worse note.
Do not be fooled by the photos....

Misrepresented:

Filthy, outdated, noisy neighbours, but this was not the worst. We were nearly eaten by the bed bugs, more agressive than Denali bears. I would not reccomend this hole even to my worst enemy. Next day we needed medical help.
