The Inn is in a beautiful setting and there is lots of wildlife to enjoy. It is safe and clean. The beds are comfortable. The Inn Keeper Sheila is very flexible and accommodating for you. She makes an amazing breakfast. Will go back anytime I am in town.

At Allegan Country Inn, Host Sheila welcomed us to her piece of heaven on earth.
The lawns were lush green when we arrived and, in Michigan fashion blanketed in peaceful white before we checked out. There was plenty of space and amenities over which to make plans for future visits, since there are rentable party spaces on site.

With four guest rooms from which to chose, I had opted for the accessible and spacious Honeymoon Suite, while my friend selected a second floor room with shared bathroom. The main floor is furnished with spacious sofas, comfortable chairs chairs alongside several game tables, while the meal area includes an intimate kitchen table as well as a lovely dining room with room for a dozen or more guests at once.

Fresh coffee was always available, and we enjoyed fresh fruit and pastries for breakfast. We opted out of hot breakfast and simply enjoyed extra lazy alone time until almost noon.  Although we preferred to do our own cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, there are plenty of meal options nearby for dining out or delivery. We both got the indulgent down time we so needed and look forward to returning this summer.

It was very comfortable and quiet. Felt like home

Shiela does a great job taking care of her guests. We had everything we needed, and if we found some thing that we needed that we didn’t have, Sheila was very responsive. The home is warm and welcoming. The themes for each of the rooms were great. A great blend of historical holy-ness and access to what we needed. Shiela was responsive to our dietary issues. Breakfast was awesome.

We had a lovely stay at the Allegan country Inn.  It felt like home away from home.  Thanks, Sheila!

This property was very cute. It was very clean and felt safe. The woman who runs it was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. The only downside was the shared bathroom, but that didn't turn out to be a big deal, as there were just a few rooms. I highly recommend this inn.

Quiet country feel, but close to everything.

Very quaint and welcoming place. We loved the quietness. We would come back again.

Quiet and Comfortable

This little Inn is clean, simple, yet very inviting. Its a no-frills style overnight, with basic accommodations, yet it also has a lovely curbside appeal and county atmosphere. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean and fresh.  We certainly would stay there again. 

Perfect little place to stay.

Lovely old house with well manicured grounds.  I enjoyed reading about the history of the place.  Unfortunately, we weren't recipients of the warm hospitality other folks raved about.  Sheila disappeared a few minutes after showing us to our room and we were left wandering if a key would be forthcoming, what the internet password was, what part of the house we could use, if coffee was available 24/7 and so on.  We never did get a room key, drove to the nearest convenience store for coffee both mornings and generally wondered about Sheila's cold shoulder - but not for long. 
We won't be spending our hard earned money staying there again and certainly won't be recommending it.
