312 reviewsFantastic experience! We stayed five nights and could not have been more pleased with the location, helpful, sincere, and friendly employees, charming town, and excellent food. We were there during the shutdown for the The Queen's funeral and employees assisted us in arranging transportation and planning activities around it. It was easy to get to via trains from Heathrow and Paddington so we did not need to rent a car. Charlbury has just enough services to meet needs without being a tourist trap; very refreshing. There are multiple English Countryside hikes from the Inn itself and public transportation to many others. The place is charming and a real gem. Lest I sound like a shill, the hot water had a gremlin that made it shut off temporarily and an inexperienced chucklehead like me might find the tub/shower set up a bit challenging. That being said, we would go back in a heartbeat and have raved about the experience to family and friends repeatedly. The Bull Inn and Charlbury were the highlights of our trip. The Bull Inn is a great base to explore The Cotswolds. Two thumbs way up!
