Beautiful period Guest House in rural North Yorkshire. Exceptionally well appointed, large comfortable bedrooms with equally large bathrooms.
Pleasant breakfast room overlooking a large secluded garden which would be wonderful for a relaxing afternoon in summer.
Spacious comfortable guest lounge and well stocked library with books and DVDs.
Eclectic collection of souvenirs and collectables scattered round the hallways.
Owners Ryan and Andy are a delight. Ryan does the cooking and baking and he is excellent.
All in all well worth a visit

Had afternoon tea this afternoon. What a delight! The welcome was warm, tea room traditional with beautiful view over the garden and nothing was too much trouble. Quality food with homegrown produce. Would recommend

Had a fabulous 2 nights with our dog Bandit. Hosts are amazing and so kind. The bedroom was large with a very comfy bed. The whole house is quirky and very attractive.  We had the antipasti which was gorgeous especially as the chutneys were home made and delicious.  The breakfast was excellent, fresh eggs from their chickens and sweet tomatoes from the greenhouse.  Bandit was totally spoilt and loved every minute. The garden is walled and large and a great area for him to roam. The location is very handy for lots of places. Try it. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic hosts in a beautiful house. We were made to feel welcome right from the initial booking over the phone. Very dog friendly, our little Nala absolutely loved it and got to meet one of their adorable dogs, schnoodle!
The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we enjoyed a full english breakfast with a view of the garden.

Spent a lovely two night stay with my wife  following our previous  cancellation due to storm Darra and rebooked for this Bank holiday weekend. What a warm and welcoming period property set in its own extensive gardens and hosted by the charming Ryan and Andy and their extended family Mowgli, Baloo, Bilbo Baggins and Oh. We where made to feel welcome and at home from the very outset . Breakfast each day was freshly cooked to our liking and nothing was to much for Ryan who was tentatively on hand to offer us sustenance not only for our bodies but for our minds aswell with Information and advice around local attractions that would be worth a visit during our stay. We would highly recommend this charming period B&B for a relaxing break while exploring the North Yorkshire countryside

Really enjoyed our stay at Newburgh House. Nice and quiet with good parking. The guys running it also did a fine job.

Charming B&B

For anyone wishing to visit Yorkshire this place is outstanding. Fantastic room, brilliant breakfast, thoughtful and caring staff, quiet, nearby friendly pub and situated close to the lovely village of Coxwold. What is there to dislike?We certainly recommend the Newburgh House B&B to anyone wanting to spend time in a friendly part of Yorkshire

Beautiful location and easy parking.  We received a warm welcome and our host was very accommodating and kind.  Breakfast was delicious in a lovely dining room overlooking the garden.  Our room was inviting and comfortable with a large bathroom.  Overall a nice stay in a beautiful and interesting area.

Very charming, traditional B&B in very charming, traditional surroundings. Andy and Ryan are wonderfully polite and welcoming hosts. Our little dog was made to feel right at home and absolutely loved having the spacious garden to play around in. The room was clean and comfortable and came with nice touches like home-made chocolate brownies and a little flask of fresh milk. Breakfast was marvellous. Highly recommended.    

Excellent old-school B&B

Lovely period B&B in a beautiful location. Fantastic suite, we staying in the Red Room, with a separate bathroom, vintage furnishings with an air of slightly faded grandeur. Enormous, clean and super comfy bed. The owners are working through a refurb and I hope they don’t do too much to this beautiful room but I agree the carpeted bathroom and 80’s shower and bathroom suite would benefit from a refurb to match the period settings, although all worked fine and were beautifully clean. Very friendly, hospitable hosts in Andy & Ryan, who made us feel very welcome and cooked a fantastic breakfast in the beautiful morning room overlooking the gardens. Only negatives is that we couldn’t get the WiFi code to work, nor the TV. We didn’t complain as we were only staying one night and didn’t need to use either - and I’m sure it would have been promptly attended to if we would have flagged it up.Overall a real gem and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a charming retreat in North Yorkshire.

Charming, comfortable and friendly

A lovely bed and breakfast in a beautiful rural location but also not far places to visit. It's a little dated but this adds to the charm. We had a large room and bathroom, lots of space, with views over the pretty garden, the chicken run, and the fields out the front. It was very clean, with the tea tray refreshed every morning and fresh milk and brownie bites provided. The bed is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, when away. A very helpful host and breakfast was delicious especially the fresh eggs! The only thing I'm not keen on is having to choose the night before, as I never know what I want then. But I can see why it's done. Overall a lovely 2 nights stay and would definitely stay again.

From arrival to departure we received a first class service from Andy and Ryan.

Perfectionists in everything from the cleanliness of the bedrooms, the service, warm and friendly atmosphere and food is second to none.

We will be returning again and plan to bring others with us!

The location is perfect, not too far from York and surrounding villages and a great countryside feel escape.

The service was incredible and you are made to feel very special throughout your stay and this was echoed to every visitor who stayed.

We spoke to other visitors who felt the same way. The food portions are generous and incredible value for money.

This was our first visit, but it won’t be our last!
