Lovely location, nice comfy and warm room.  Great breakfast.  Host very accommodating. Happy to stay again.

We have just had a two night stay at Manston Guest House. What a lovely place, so quiet and such a peaceful setting. The room was lovely with everything you could need, iron, ironing board and bottles of water and fresh milk in the little fridge in the room. Justin the owner greeted us and couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a wonderful cooked breakfast and also lots of fresh fruit etc. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend for anyone wishing to visit Dorset.

It was extremely clean, well appointed with small details e.g torch, hair dryer, iron.  Very attentive host who ensured we were comfortable.  Delightful spot in the country.

We were going to the Sturminster Cheese festival and decided to stay the night and found this lovely B&B on hotels.comLovely place, quiet and out in the countryside. Justin was a nice, friendly host and cooked a lovely breakfast.Would highly recommend

Lovely place to stay. Great parking. Great breakfast - should ask what we wanted/preferred though to avoid waste. Calm and quiet and a ten min walk to a local pub with decent food. Lovely stay.

One of the best guest houses I have ever stayed at. Beautiful grounds and the B&B is a gorgeous, quaint cottage. 

My room was spotless and had a little fridge with fresh milk which was lovely. Shower super strong, bed soooo comfy, and the room although small, was perfect.

Justin was so nice and cooks a banger of a breakfast! 

I cannot recommend this Guest house enough!!!!!

Lovely guest house

Glorious

A lovely restful place, very welcoming and beautiful location. Plenty of parking.
Comfortable and clean room, warm on arrival which was late at night. Well appointed ensuite. Everything you need is in the room and there are lots of games and local information in the common area which is a nice touch.
Justin is friendly and helpful so ask for anything you might need help with.
Breakfast was good with a fresh selection for continental plus cooked option to order.
We would happily return, found it a calm and comfortable country style B&B which was good value and a lovely experience.


Calm and comfortable country B&B

We had a wonderful, restful weekend. The beds/pillows are super comfy, the room was warm and quiet. We were made to feel very welcome by Justin, the proprietor, and nothing was too much trouble. Superb, generous breakfast with lots of choice, we were very well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend this hidden gem.

Hidden gem 

We had a lovely mid week stay at this B&B. The room was very comfortable. We enjoyed our tasty full English breakfast and great views of the countryside. Justin was very friendly and helpful. He recommended places to visit and where to go for a good pub meal. We would definitely be coming back to visit in the future x

Lovely stay in the countryside of Dorset 

Lovely quiet location , a local pub walking distance, THE PLOUGH ,very friendly, good food good service . Justin the onwer of manston guest house was helpful and knowledgeable, also lots of communication, about requirements for breakfast and what time breakfast was required, and any special requests, coffee ,full English etc A great place for a base ,we were attending the tankfest 2023 at bovington camp Also reasonable on price for two  nights +breakfast included

Lovely area, lovely place, lovely room, with one of the best bed and pillow combinations that I've experienced in a long while, I slept so well here.  Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice and the proprietor, Justin, was an excellent host, extremely helpful and accommodating.  I'll definitely be staying again,  Local amenities were okay, with a decent Japanese/Chinese takeaway in nearby Sturminster.  I picked up from the take away and brought it back to , where Justin aided me with a tray, dishes and cutlery to enjoy the meal in my room.  I could also have enjoyed the meal in the dining room.

Pro's: bed and pillow combo, lovely shower, lovely breakfast, excellent host
Con's: Nothing really of note to report, the house uses a septic tank, so the macerator toilet can be a little noisy.  Some road noise can be heard in the morning, though the guest house is in a secluded spot, so it's barely noticeable.

Summary: Great Guest House and I'll definitely be staying here again.  Andy.

This was a lovely night's stay. The owner made us very welcome, was helpful, polite and friendly. The accommodation was nicely presented, comfortable, excellent quality and very peaceful. The breakfast was the best I have had when staying away, personal touches just like home but very professional too. I would highly recommend this guest house for a short or long stay in Dorset. Convenient to eateries , the coast etc. Thank you.

We were attending a party at a nearby venue and needed accommodation just for the night.  We asked in advance about booking a taxi to take us to the venue and the owner, Justin, said that he would take us there and pick us up!   On arrival he greeted us warmly and showed us to a nice room which was very comfortable, well supplied and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfy and we had a good night's sleep followed by an excellent full English Breakfast.  We would certainly stay here again and wish to complement Justin on his hospitality and "above and beyond" service and attitude.  Thank you.

What a wonderful find!

We came for a wedding nearby and rocked up in the dead of night. Justin left the key out and a welcome note (gone supply shopping for breakfast). In the morning he cooked us a great breakfast (vegan sausages and cauliflower hashbrowns included). 

The room was well equipped, clean and spacious. 

We had tried but couldn't book a taxi for the wedding and Justin said no worries I can drive you, so to we drove there in the car together with other guests and left it there, and Justin picked us up at the end of the night.

Justin could not have been more accommodating and helpful. When we told others at the wedding that he was picking us up, they all wished they'd stayed there. 

I often find people make a place and the next time we are Dorset bound we will be staying here.
