We stayed here for four nights. It was so quiet so a good nights sleep is almost guaranteed. We had the Poppy room which was very clean and big enough for the two of us.

The breakfasts were more than adequate with plenty of choice. Full cooked, cereals, home made breads and jam. It's wrecked my diet.
The hosts made us feel very welcome and went aver and above by placing a bouquet of flowers in our room and gave us a card to celebrate our anniversary. 
The wardrobe was acting somewhat drunk but don't they all after several years?

The secure park and ride made it a breeze o get into York in just under 20 mins. 

There is a pub and a quirky Greek restaurant within 5 mins each and both were very inviting with good food.

It is likely that we would stay again as I couldn't find fault and the people were so friendly.

Stayed at Wood Farm for 2 nights & it was wonderful. Best sleeps I've had in a long time...
Peace & quiet in the countryside, but york centre on the doorstep via park & ride 5 minutes away.
Clean & comfortable farmhouse with an excellent bespoke breakfast if required?
You are looked after by a hard working, friendly farming family who have adapted thier Farm to accomadate visitors aswell as running a livestock & agricultural business.

We booked two rooms this summer, whilst attending a local family event. The farm was very peaceful, a great out of town stay. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable with a good breakfast too.

We took advantage of the York park and ride to spend a sightseeing day in York and also followed the tip to try out the Aldwark Arms for dinner one evening.

Our hosts were super friendly and we spent a while chatting about the old days. Turned out that when this was a dairy farm there was a regular link to my father-in-law, who regularly attended the farm. There are two very friendly doggies to meet too.

We stayed for 3 nights at this lovely B and B on a farm. A lovely welcome, great rooms and a fabulous breakfast.
Everything was spotlessly clean, lovely comfy bed and a great en-suite.

Lovely quite location, room was very comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful and breakfast had plenty of variety whatever your tases and was excellent. Very handy for York or like we did, exploring the Yorkshire countryside.

We loved our room at Wood Farm, we had the pink suite, it was a large room with a very comfortable king size bed. Breakfast was great and my husband especially enjoyed the salmon and scrambled eggs. Very easy to find the park and ride into York and a couple of good pubs nearby for meals. Recommend to everyone and Helen is a lovely host.

We would highly recommend this wonderful bed and breakfast farm stay. Helen, the owner was so helpful and friendly. We felt thoroughly spoilt throughout our two night stay, her breakfast was amazing, locally sourced, fresh produce, with a great choice of options. We stayed in the garden room, overlooking fields and the garden of course! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a huge, comfy bed. All you could hear was the occasional  boot of the owl or the gentle noise of the calves. Helen, together with her daughter, Claire, run the farm and b&b. They are stars! Thank you!

B&B's just don't come any better than this. The accommodation was spacious, well appointed, spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy. A good choice of delicious breakfast options is offered and we enjoyed everything we had.The rural location is great as it's nice and quiet but only a few minutes drive to the excellent Park and Ride if you want to explore York without the hassle of parking. We were made very welcome throughout our stay and hope to return sometime.

We stayed at Wood Farm for 3 nights and visited York, the Yorkshire Dales, and Rievaulx & Fountains Abbeys.  Claire and Helen were exceptionally friendly and easy to talk to and shared great recommendations for visiting York - take the bus and definitely walk the wall behind the Minster.  Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and they serve great coffee.  Our room was spacious and clean and the bed quite comfortable. York was a fun town to visit and when the rain started we went to the railway museum which was quite interesting.  An unexpected highlight was stumbling onto the village of Knaresborough en route to the Dales and walking through the village - not as touristy and has a beautiful viaduct, church, and castle.

Very nice B&B well located to visit York. We took the Park and Ride, which is excellent - hardly had to wait at all. The B&B is located in a very quiet location at the end of a lane. The Wi-Fi connection is fine for emails but not suitable for heavier use. Would recommend.

We phoned the b&b two days before we went has we live in bridlington but needed to be in York has my mother in law had massive stroke and was in York hospital so we needed to be there. I phoned the b&b up and was told the b&b was close by the hospital only 15 mins in taxi I told her we didn't drive so need to be close by. I phoned on day we arrived and she kindly let us check in at 12pm dinner time instead off 4pm which was brilliant.  We turned up to the b&b the room was lovely warm and clean and told us they qas fridge down stairs where she kindly kept putting fresh milk in for us threw out the day. We booked in for 4 nights but we booked for longer another 5 nights as we needed to be in York for my mother in law. We had to come earlier by 2 days has the room was freezing she only put the heating on for 3 hours has night time and I have fibromalgia and slipped discs in my back which I need to be warm at all times if not I'm in alot pain. The hotel was no where near the hospital was 2 n half hour walk . The nearest shop was 1 hour 20 min away we could barley get taxis so had to walk to the shop and it wasn't great shop and walk back in all took just short 4 hours to get some milk and a paper plus other bits . We paid £95 a night without breakfast I thought was quite dear aswell has we was their the WiFi never worked they had changed the password plus the TV barely worked the signal was shocking . We come home has I couldn't cope with the cold plus my hubby had shower was in 20 mins and used all the hot water so I had to wait over an hour before I could get in. So if all visitors had shower at same time I don't know how that would work for the water . We had takeaway while we there has the pubs near by had no tables available.  We went for meal on the Saturday night had to walk 30 mins each way with our torches on phone and nearly got knocked over by cars has was very dangerous roads . No footpath or anything . I told the lady we was going on the Thursday we was booked in for the Saturday but told the old lady and her daughter we was going home has I couldn't cope with the cold and also lack hot water also after couple days the lady was only putting milk in twice daily only little bottle did one set drinks for me and hubby she seemed to change the longer we was their. We took our own rubbish out every day while we was their was 15 min walk to the bin at end off the road also the roads was muddy and coverd in hay. I know its farm and workin farm but what I got told on phone by lady was totally different to what we was greeted with if I knew how far away it was we wouldn't have stayed their. We didn't check either has we was in so much rush to get to yorkto be their for my mother in law who at 55 had massive stroke.  The lady didn't even say anything to why qe qas leaving early or tried to say we will pop heating on for you or give you heater and made no attempt in tryin to give me money back for the 2 extra nights which we lost £190 which is alot money so close to Christmas aswell has we was having to pay taxi to hospital and back every day which was £40 a day plus our teas from takeaway they added extra delivery fee off £6 has we was miles away from the takeaway place . I would rather have been told how far away we was I would have booked into holiday Inn or Premier Inn has we would have saved £40 a day in taxis for 7 days plus extra delivery for takeaways. Lost alot money and so close to Christmas wasn't ideal. If we have car I would go back but would go back in the summer not the winter.  The WiFi never worked while we qas away and also the TV hardly worked only certain channels which was either itv3 or itv4 . They wasn't designated for smoking area and they dnt allow kids at the hotel either so that was false advertisement . The room we was in the window was broken and left a jar so the room was freezing cold even when the heating did come on for 3 hours at night time. They lady first couple days was brilliant with the milk and always re stroking coffee sugar and hot chocolate but by 3rd day it seemed like we was in way and more like burden which didn't feel nice at all. If u have ur own car and can stand cold this place is ideal for u if not I would stay closer to town or take plenty winter thick clothes

We were delighted to find this accommodation close to York. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable and big.  Everything was spotlessly clean and it was clear they had given a lot of thought about all guests needs.  Thank you to Helen and Claire for your warm, friendly welcome to your family home.  Away from the city bustle and noise.  Close enough to get to the centre in a matter of minutes on the excellent park and ride service. Saw a barn owl on the fencepost coming up the drive. Opportunity to see loads more wildlife if you take a walk round the farm's fields (permitted but check with Helen first). Reasonable rates and much better value than York's many central hotels. You cannot help but relax in such quiet, rural surroundings.
