Well I’m recently back from another stay in Scunthorpe watching my beloved Scunthorpe United. For me there’s only one choice of accommodation and that’s The Royal on Doncaster Road. The central location is ideal for a trip into town or a walk down the hill to Glanford Park. My experience of The Royal is overwhelming positive and it never disappoints. Zane and his team run a good establishment and never fail to make me feel welcome at my home from home 
In conclusion, I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Don’t ever change team royal

Always find macey and Lewis polite and welcoming to me and my friends, always enjoy our nights out there. We go there every Tuesday for a poker night and the service is always good from either macey or Lewis and nothing is too much trouble. I would happily recommend a night out here.

Excellent service with very friendly staff. Great food and drink choices at very competitive prices. I personally recommend the fish and chips and I was fortunate enough to have it cooked by the master chef himself Glenn. All in all it's a great place to wine, dine, watch sport and stay the night if required. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way 😁👍

Came to the royal hotel for a meal for my daughters birthday, the food was hot and delicious and although my daughter is a fussy eater I have to give a big shout out to Lewis who went above and beyond to make sure she was happy and went out of his way to make sure we was ok. We will definitely be returning and I’ve already recommended it to my friends.

Came in for a meal, the food was great and the service was fast. Thanks to Lewis who served us and who was friendly and funny. I will definitely be coming back and will be recommending this place to others. 

Went to the royal with family and friends who live in the area.We went for a meal and a drink and I found the pub and staff amazing and could not do enough for you.A big shout out to the manger zane who went the extra mile to make our stay a retuning one in the near future.I would recommend this pub and will be back soon thanks zane and the staff.

Had a lovely meal at the royal hotel  today the service was excellent. Jenny was especially helpful and the service was very quick. Food was delicious and very good value for money it’s the best food I’ve had at green king.

The royal is a friendly place to stay with superb staff 
Hayley was superb in making sure my room was spotless during my stay and craig in the kitchen was very accomadating to my food requirements and very understanding .... zane the landlord is superb along with all barstaff .... never stayed in a hotel wher the room has been so clean so a big thank you to hayley

Jenny and all the boys and girls at the Royal are great human beings who do there best to make you feel at home. Great pub food some good banter are just some of the positives and lead to my rating however the Royal could do with some inward ££ investment cross the estate especially in communal areas which look pretty run down in places ..rooms a little dated and worn around edges my hot water tap was shaky but worked sink blocked too but all in all other respects clean and tidy and safe ..Marston's please spend some money for a face lift..team Royal keep doing what your doing x  To be fair overall good value and parking free if a little tight ..very handy for job I was on

Royal hotel ... scunthorpe

Had an impromptu night away which was not too far. Arrived and was warmly welcomed and checked in promptly. Was directed to our room which was comfortable although probably in need of a little TLC. Bed was comfortable and had a good sleep. Evening meal was delicious. Shower was broken slightly with the holder not staying up but still managed to have a shower. Breakfast was superb and Jenny was super helpful in the morning. Nothing was too much trouble. Overall a very nice stay
