Fantasyice.  The beds were comfy and soft.  The whole staff were incredible.  The beat place to stay in sandwich.

Fantastic stay at the Fleur-de-lis. Staff were amazing. We booked the family room, which gave us plenty of space. The Folk and Ale festival was on while we were there, so lots going on and live music everywhere 👌Delicious breakfasts and very comfy beds. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. I booked a deluxe double but wouldn't class our room as deluxe . The wardrobe base had collapsed, the large sash window was held open by a plastic coat hanger & there seemed to be mould in the corner of  the  ceiling . Staff were friendly & the breakfast was very tasty. The bedroom needs redecorating.

The location of the hotel was wonderful; right in the centre of Sandwich. No on site parking but the market car park was only a few minutes walk away.The staff were friendly and efficient and check in was quick and easy. The room was small but clean with a comfortable bed. It took a long time for the hot water to arrive but when it did the shower was good with nice big bath towels.My only complaints were that the wifi was dreadful/non existent and, contrary to their website, no hot breakfast was served only a polystyrene breakfast box left in the room. Had I known this in advance I may have booked alternative accommodation.

Mislead in Sandwich

A pleasant, town centre hotel.  We enjoyed the friendly staff, decent, if somewhat dated, room and lovely food and beverages at reasonable prices in the pub/restaurant.  As stated, the room was dated but clean.  Only a few issues… The tv was visible from the sofa but not from the bed.  Also, it was a Friday night with live music downstairs.  Our window looked out over the front door so those hanging around outside were easily heard and did keep us up until after midnight.  I knew of this issue ahead of time and was planning on being downstairs and enjoying the music myself, but a migraine sent me to bed early so the music and partying became an issue.  However, if you plan on staying up late, you may enjoy it as the pub seemed to have a lovely, fun atmosphere.  Can’t complain as the problem was mine.  The town of Sandwich was lovely and hope to come again sometime.  Would stay here again.

I suppose having a room above a pub you should expect noise and yes it was noisy, plus our room overlooked another pub so more noise there! Frustrating also was that the walls were thin and the couple next door were v noisy but that could be just bad luck. Plus the manager was knocking on people’s doors requesting room payment at some point after 10.30pm!On the plus side the room was a good size and the bed comfortable. They also left a basket full of crisps and popcorn which I thought a lovely touch. The breakfast choice was amazing, from fruit pancakes to full English and lots of other choices. Overall not a bad stay just a little noisy.

Nice room, shame about the noise.

We spent three nights here. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable.Breakfast was well cooked with generous portions. Staff were friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the fact that the hotel is close to the Guildhall where buses to  Canterbury, Deal and Ramsgate stop. Also it is a short walk to the railway station.We were really happy with our holiday in The Fleur de Lis.

A Most Enjoyable Stay.

We only stayed for two days but had a lovely time. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The room was a little tired looking but had a very comfortable bed. The only two negatives would be the noise when the bar had a live band playing and that the toilet was too close to the shower (very difficult to sit on) but overall we were very happy. The breakfast was also very tasty and although there was no parking at the hotel the car park across the street is free overnight.

Breakfast was very good except they had run out of orange juice. Location was central and near everything. We liked the live music too.Nice big window-see picture as this is our room.Unfortunately one of the bedside lights was not working (unlike in the picture! ) and one of the three ceiling lights was not working either. When I was asked if everything was fine when I checked out I mentioned this, only to be told that they could not do anything about it due to loose wires. Surely a competent electrician could sort out a couple pf loose wires?
