We are a couple celebrating our wedding anniversary. We pre booked our table for 7,30pm. We got there a bit early, but were able to be seated straight away. 
We were in Henry 111 restaurant. 
We were very impressed with the service we got from our waitress and others. I asked for no tomato and no onions on my burger, and that was clearly noted. The food was well presented and very tasty. 
We would definitely recommend it to everyone. We got married here,  so to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary was a very special evening. 

Went for our Anniversary, traveling with my wife's guide dog, the staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you. In the room was a dog bed and bowls and treats and poo bags for Orla. The meals are first class.
All the staff made sure my wife was safe at all times and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A special mention for Amy the dog crazy young lady who puts the doggy treats into little bags and ties them with ribbon she's a diamond.

A lovely Easter evening in the Brasserie, thanks to Matt for looking after us. Very polite and friendly. The grounds are also very well kept. We’ll be back! (Please consider becoming a dog friendly hotel). 

We had a 70th  and  75th  birthday party this weekend the staff were amazing  helpful and everything well organised.   The food was excellent  portions were plentiful and presented beautiful.  All our guests were delighted it was a night to remember

Cannot fault this hotel whatsoever. We booked last minute for my sisters 21st as we were due to go skiing at Xscape at 9am the following morning so made the decision to stay somewhere the night before and i can honestly say for a last minute booking we couldnt have made a better choice! 

From the second we got there it was noted it was my sisters birthday. We arranged for a bottle of Moet to be in the room and we had some balloons delivered which were put in the room ready for her arrival. No questions asked and the staff couldnt have been more helpful. The first room we had was one of the bungalows which was lovely and spotless! We then went down for tea and the food was incredible! The young girl serving was so lovely, chatty and polite. Gave us a free glass of prosecco and couldnt do enough for us. Breakfast was also to die for! 

We then got chatting to the manager who offered us an upgrade to a bridal suite once he found out why we were staying! The room was amazing and we were so pleased how lovely they were to us! 

Also, just to point out, the very bad review listed below is absolutley not what happened and should be totally ignored. The lady was SO RUDE to the staff who were trying their best to please her! Even pointing out she had a terrible day due to the weather (which is no ones fault). The young girl and managed dealt with her very well and was polite the whole time. Myself and my sister actually made her aware of how rude we thought she was being at the time to which she stood up and stormed off. So please dont take that reveiw at face value as its totally unfair.

To sum up, one of the lovliest hotels ive ever stayed at and would 100% come back again! Thank you x

Came for an Xmas party night and it was brilliant. Had a lovely night. The service was excellent and the food to match. With Covid we understand the strains on the hospitality industry but the evening was so seamless you wouldn’t have known. Thanks for a lovely evening and we will be back soon.

Top food & top quality service! Neil was out waiter & we were never empty of a drink or of food! It was awful weather to have to be servicing outside but he kept a smile on his face! 💕 Food was great

My friends and I came to the King's Croft Hotel for a bottomless brunch in July. The service, food and drinks were fantastic! Although it was very busy, we felt like the service was still of a high standard with drinks being brought around every 20 minutes or so. It was well worth the money and we'll definitely be back again soon.

We had our wedding at Kings Croft on Friday 03rd September, and the team at kings Croft ensured that the day went without a hitch. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. We received so many compliments from our guests on everything, the canapés, hog roast & the venue itself. We would like to give special thanks to Abbie who was our coordinator from the start and to Paul the venues in-house photographer. During the evening Paul printed out loads of A3 paper copies of some of the shots he had taken during the day and these were fantastic and the guest really appreciated seeing and keeping these.no one had been to a wedding where this had been done and everyone said it was such a nice touch. If your considering venues for a wedding we cannot recommend Kings Croft Hotel highly enough. Thanks again to all the team at Kings Croft for making our special day so special.

We got married here on the 30th July 2021. The whole experience was one of great delight. From my pre-wedding appointments with Abbie, to the actual day, everything was just perfect. My bridal party stayed the night before and my husband and myself plus lots of family stayed the wedding night too. All the staff at King’s Croft made my day extra special for me especially Dave, my toastmaster, who looked after me throughout the day and was absolutely brilliant. Also a mention for Kieron, who made sure I had everything I needed first thing and Leanne who was very attentive and helpful. I definitely recommend King’s Croft for a wedding venue, the food was exceptional!

A perfect stay

We booked for 9 of us family and friends for Sunday lunch to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary.  
Arrived on the hottest day of the year to be seated at our table in the restaurant. Lovely set up but far too hot in there. There were a few air con vents but of little use. Need to sort better air con out. 

Mainly looked after by Toni who was lovely and friendly.  Nothing was too much for her. Ordered a few starters which were nice and correct as we changed a couple of bits on 2. (Dont like dressed salad just plain) on the prawn cocktails. Nice kick to the Marie sauce. 

Mains lovely. Had to ask for loads more gravy.  Veg nice choice and plenty. Few sweets ordered and were lovely. 

Drinks average prices for venues such as the Kings croft. 

All in all a lovely day apart from the heat in the restaurant (oh and the ceiling had a lot of marks on. Could do with washing.)

Recommend the Sunday lunch menu. Nice for special occasions

Booked a pod for Mother’s Day
It was £40 and we had the choice of different pizzas and garlic bread and tapas  
Charlie served us our food and was lovely would definitely recommend going
It was quite a warm day so we had to have the door open so be mindful if you book in the summer

Mother’s Day at kings croft

We stayed at The Kings Croft, as we were attending an event there.

When we arrived it looked great. The grounds certainly make for lovely wedding photos in a great setting.

The event we attended was excellent, with a lovely two course meal.

However, it was the rooms that let the place down. We booked the Accessible Executive Bungalow. We cannot fault the size of the bathroom but the shower had no curtain which meant the wet-room got really wet, so wet that we thought we wouldn't be able to shower on the second morning, as we were going to need waders. There was a small shelf for the shower gel and shampoo but that was as far away from the shower as possible and these were the smaller bottles I have ever seen, they would make Lilliput items looked like giant versions.

The other part of the room was also large, but there were two single beds, if we had known the beds in the Accessible room were singles we would have had a different room. There was plenty of plug sockets, which is always good. There was a sofa, which was comfortable but it was facing the bed and not the TV and moving it would have been a bit of a game. However, the TV was not good, there were lots of channels, but most of them had nothing on them and they had Russian or Polish writing so you couldn't read what it said. You couldn't cast to the TV as it was so old it had a SCART socket on and it is the oldest TV set I have ever seen in a hotel.

Overall whilst the event was good I wouldn't stay here again.

The highlight of the stay was Amy, who served us lunch one of the days, she was excellent.

The rooms are a complete let down

Booked a overnight stay, to attend a funeral. Booked via Expedia (executive  room) was shown to room 23, not executive,  lower ground floor, room appeared to have been  developed  into a hotel room. It felt 'strange',odd layout, the courtyard outside front door,  which needed a good sweep. Checked with reception,  they said its what Expedia  requested, but the happily changed  us to room 26. Executive. 
This was a huge room, underfloor heating, lots of space,  nice double  doors and good views.
WHY do hotels only  provide one chair in a room, please consider  placing 2 if a couple  staying.
Bathroom  had limited shelf space for toiletries  etc, please add another if possible, and a Bathroom  stool. A separate  towel  rail is a necessity,  there is a heated towel  panel, but you can't hang  all the towels  on it.
Bathroom  cleanliness  needs attention. 
Breakfast was adequate,  asked for soft poached  eggs, arrived not soft, waitress offered  fresh,  but I didn't want breakfast to get cold. Waitress very polite and helpful.
There was a wedding party  booked in, who arrived for breakfast in pyjamas!? It seemed to be acceptable  by management?🤔  it's not what we expected  to be honest .
Be mindful this  appeared to us to be primarily  a wedding and function  venue.
We stayed as attending  a funeral,  crematorium is 1/2 mile away.

Me and my friend booked the banquet online for New Year’s Eve at a cost of £75 each.

We were hugely disappointed with the lack of consideration for vegetarians - there wasn’t even a single vegetarian option for the main course. 

Starters were okay and a few veggie options but not many. However the main course was a disaster. All of the options were meat (lasagne, curry, hog roast – the site of a full dead pig in the room was also very off-putting). I asked the server what was available for vegetarians, he went away to ask, came back and said there wasn’t anything. I ended up having peas and potatoes (see photo). I said it wasn’t acceptable and that there should’ve been at least one option to which he agreed. At £75 per ticket I was very disappointed.

At reception the next morning we were told to email our complaint, which we did. The response was far from satisfactory. Basically, she said there was an aubergine option but the staff must not have been aware. Also, she said that we should have mentioned when booking, however there was no option for this when booking online. Regardless, who does a massive banquet for so many people but with no vegetarian options on offer at all for main courses? She was very dismissive of my complaint and also a little defensive. This left me without a refund and also feeling that my complaint was completely disregarded - this is not great customer service at all.
