15 Merchiston Gardens Bed and Breakfast

Hello! Firstly, I am thankful to the owners for the service they provided me. I spend in the "Moet" room (the en-suite one) in the Guest House approximately 4 months and a half, from the 3rd of January till May the 15th. I decided to join 15 Merchiston Gardens' "family" just before Christmas in order to have a place where I could spend the first trimester of the Uni (starting on January). At the beginning I was almost "forced" since I hadn't found any other solution and January was really near... As far as I am concerned I can only be thankful to the management for the following reasons: - My room (Moet) was beautiful and "typical" from british culture (I guess): in all of my trip I have never found a perfect room but I have always felt comfortable and at my own ease. The room is big, with a huge bedroom, full of shelves and three heating. In addition, given that living in the last floor the heating is slow to come up, the owner kindly gave to me a portable one that I could use throughout all my staying. Furthermore, the owner decided to reinforce the windows to protect the room from the severe wind the many nights was pushing. Also, the bathroom was really nice, with a lot of space, a big sink, a big shower, heating, toilet. - Kitchen: small (when you share the flat with other 4 students), but really practical and with everything I needed. - Living room: huge and cleaned, with two big couches, a table, chairs, TV..... - Location: for what I needed (attending University at the Craiglockart's Campus) was excellent, since I could go to the school or to the city centre either on foot or by bus. - Price: it was high, however, I think it is a really good offer (for one trimester)considering other quality-price houses that I looked for around Edinburgh. For example, it happens many times that a student asks around for a flat to share and finds out a good offer, however, he/she then has to check the quality of the flat (which is often really low) and bills have to be added. This results in not being so that convenient! - The Owners: everytime that I needed something thery were available. In fact, I asked for a desk and they gave it to me, when I was sick they asked me if I needed something or not. I wish you all the best!
