The Cowsheds

A group of 12 of us recently enjoyed a long weekend at The Cowsheds. The accommodation is beautiful with large bedrooms and huge bathrooms! Everything is furnished and decorated to a very high standard and the kitchen is well equipped for a large group. The space is perfect for group dinners and entertaining, whilst also having private rooms with en suites. Couldn't ask for more!

The hosts were very friendly and the accommodation is excellent

We stayed here last weekend and had the most fantastic time. We followed the directions on the website and very easy to find. The main door was left unlocked for us on arrival and a large Victoria sponge waiting for us which was a lovely touch. Very spacious accommodation all fitted out to a very high standard. We didn't meet the owners, they were happy to leave us to it which suited us, but we knew they were only next door if needed. Lots of outdoor space for children to play safely. We will definitely return next year. I cannot praise the Cowsheds highly enough. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A truly lovely place to stay. Our shepherds hut had a super king size and super comfortable bed with fresh linen, fluffy pillows and towels provided. There was even a 'breakfast pack' waiting for us in the fridge which consisted of: bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes, butter, bread, communal tea, coffee and milk. We also has a mini potbelly stove in our hut which kept us warm at night alsong with an electric fan heater. The communal kitchen area provides cutlery, plates, bowles, cooking utensils, washing up supplies etc, an oven with hob, kettle, toaster... Practically all you would need. Theres a woodfired hot tub which was sensational. The log burner in a hut where we played board games fuelled the hot tub so effectively that we had to add cold water from the hoseipe to it. Showers were spotless and supplied with ample warm water and toilets were sparkling clean. We had a wonderful stay @the cowshed and really cannot find fault with it.

We had a fantastic stay at the Cowsheds. On arrival we checked in and got our key, which was in the kitchen/ dinner area, there was also a huge victoria sponge and tea and coffee available. I thought it was a nice touch after our journey down. Our room was great, the roof beams just finished the room off. The ensuite bathroom was fabulous rollneck bath with huge shower. The breakfast was amazing, full English, all locally sourced produce. I would recommend this place to anyone,  we are going to stay there again, very soon.

Wow, what a beautiful place to stay. The owner has thought of everything, from amazing cowsheds bathing products to use, to personal touches like baking us a victoria sponge cake ready for our arrival. The entire property is spotless, and you can tell care and thought has been put into ensuring that guests have the best stay possible. Any questions/ requests were answered almost immediately by the owner (both prior to, and during our stay). Perfect for a large group of family/ friends to getaway together. Would highly recommend and definitely planning my next group trip to the cowsheds!

We have booked for 2 nights at Cowsheds to have some time off.
Superb location and fantastic hosts which were kindly and polite. Everything was 10 out of 10 starting with the beautiful cosy room to how they serve breakfast. We enjoyed everything. The dining room was so welcoming and we personally felt like home. 
The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The landscape was breathtaking. We will definetely recommend the place and we will come back soon. Thank you Georgina, Amy and Pauline.

I have been Staying here on a frequent basis over the last year or so on business. What a great place! Highly recommend staying here. Well equipped, quiet, clean and tidy and very very comfortable. Beautifully furnished with roll top baths and double showers to a high standard. Never been able to fault it. Great host and breakfasts! My only disappointment is I am changing jobs and won’t be able to visit again! Well done Georgie - fantastic place

When I booked this I was very sceptical at first, a few rooms in the country side I really didn't know what to expect however I was more than shocked.

I've worked in hotels for years and I must say this was hotel quality service.

Arrival is very simple, walk in wtite down what u want for breakfast grab a key, go to your room. Walking in to the room my mouth drops, very clean and just so cozy and perfect, exactly what I needed for a short getaway from the city of London, freezing outside however the heaters do what they are ment to do and did not feel cold at all during my stay.

Next day we had breakfast which was lovely and left the room in quite a mess as I was not expecting anyone to come clean it however it was cleaned and tidied up indeed and I was very thankful, my clothes were even folded.

Amazing place to come by car and tricky if you are relying on Google maps however if you're okay with spending a little money on taxis then I would more than recommend this play to anyone that even has a family to come spend a few nights here, just wish I stayed here longer.

Once I own a car this will definitely be one of my yearly visits.

Also thank you to the owners for the massive help in everything I needed, me and my partner are very thankful and enjoyed it plenty.

The room was fabulous as was the breakfast.  The only minute criticism you could have was that it needs a signpost on the road to tell you where it is.  Just a sign post saying "The Cowsheds" is all it needs.other than that the place is fantastic and if ever in the area we will be back.

Wonderful bank holiday stay

I stayed for one night while visiting family in Lyneham.  The room was clean, warm and well decorated. The little extras, such as shower gel and soap were lovely and the cake was most welcome after a long day. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and parking is easy. 
I agree with some of the comments that it is a bit had to find in the dark; Google told me I had arrived, but there is no sign and there are several properties to choose from. However, when I rang the hosts they answered the phone immediately and told me how to find them. 
I don't mind that I didn't meet the hosts. The kitchen is open and your key and breakfast menu are laid out inside. Easy peasy and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in. I am a terrible sleeper and was out cold.

This was a heavenly stay. Everything was perfect! The location was ideal and it matched the charm of the English countryside. The room was impeccably done and all the details made us feel like we were home - but a much nicer home! The breakfast was delicious and the staff extremely kind and helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
