Never stay in b&b but this has changed my mind .
Such a relaxing break . 
Perfect in every way , lovely couple that run it . Breakfast was such a treat , fruit salad was the best .
Hopefully we can return 

I stayed here for 3 nights last week and really did not want to leave. My family and I stayed at Pine Lodge around 36 years ago when I was a teenager and my happy memories of a lovely time there have now been replicated as an adult.

On arrival I received a very warm welcome with coffee and cake offered to me. I stayed in room 5 which was a suite and absolutely spotless with lots of lovely little touches, like scissors to open pesky sachets on the hospitality tray.  The breakfasts are amazing with lots of choice on offer and really set me up for the day. 

The Cottage is a pub about a 2 minute walk down the road and I had a very nice Thai curry there. I also had delicious tapas in the Oak Room which is a bit further up the road in Lynton. Both of these restaurants were on a list that Wendy emailed me a few weeks before I left home, which was a brilliant idea as i could suss out the menu and book tables before I arrived. 

There are lots of lovely walks to Lynton and down to Lynmouth, Valley of Rocks and Watersmeet and the car stayed on the driveway until it was time to go home. The Cliff Railway down to Lynmouth is great for little legs or if you just haven't the energy to walk back up the hills!

I made the almost 4 hour journey from my home to Lynton on my own and though it is always a bit daunting holidaying on your own, Wendy and Steven  are the most helpful of hosts and I felt very much at home. I really feel like I have made a couple of North Devon friends and will definately be coming back. All the 5* reviews for Wendy and Steven at Pine Lodge are well deserved.

Stayed in room 5, which was a suite. Lovely and very comfortable. Breakfasts included had plenty of choice and were delicious. Beautiful setting with great views and short walk to centre. Wonderful hosts, who were very knowledgeable about things to do and recommended great places to eat. 

This is a lovely B &B in a secluded spot within walking distance of Lynton (15 mins). We had room 3 overlooking the front of the property it was light and spacious and very clean with a well stocked hospitality tray that was replenished each day. Hosts Wendy and Steve are very special, nothing is too much trouble for them, they genuinely want you to have the best stay! Breakfast was a feast kicking off with a wonderful fresh fruit salad and yummy Greek yoghurt, followed by cereals and full English or choice of other cooked delights with ample toast and tea. Wendy had emailed us a list of local restaurants before we travelled so we could plan our evening meals which was very useful. Closest pub ‘Cottage’ is just a 5 minute walk away, a cosy pub which is also a Thai restaurant. All in all a very relaxing stay by the sea, we definitely hope to return.

What a great b&b, very good value and very comfortable. Despite being bank holiday weekend in a busy place, Pine Lodge felt private and tucked away. Steven and Wendy are exceptionally welcoming hosts who could not do enough for us. Great breakfasts, wonderful location and lots of little extra touches which made the stay special. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable few days.

Fantastic location,  pine Lodge was perfect from the moment arrived... Very welcoming hosts... Room spotless and comfy.... Breakfast excellent with lovely fresh fruit... Nothing was any trouble plus added treats in room which we're appreciated  after our long hilly walk &  wonderful views . Would definitely return.

Just enjoyed 3 nights at this great B&B, Wendy and Steven are great hosts, very welcoming and friendly. we stayed in room 3 which was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent, really set us up for the day. We recommend highly.

We stayed here or 5 nights, selecting it particularly because they had a room with a bathtub. Our room was quite spacious and fully equipped with everything that we needed. Our hostess was chatty and charming and provided a varied and freahly cooked breakfast. There was also a good view from the room out over the West Lyn valley, It was about a 10 minute walk from Lynton, level at first then quite steeply down. The only issue we found were the narrow access roads and the sharp bends on the roads from Lynton and Lynmouth. Best approahed for the first time in daylight.

Spent a fabulous long weekend at Pine Lodge. Our hosts Wendy and Steve were really helpful to us. The rooms we had were perfect and the breakfasts brilliant. Only  about a 10 minute walk into Lynton. I have to give Pine Lodge 10 out of 10. A perfect place to stay, look forward to my next stay there, room 4 or 5 please. Tom Bolton.

My husband and I travelled with another couple and we can say it is one of the best B&B’s we’ve ever stayed in. Our hosts, Wendy and Steven, were very welcoming and did everything they could  to ensure we had a fabulous break. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated, with lovely views. The choices for breakfast were extensive and everything was freshly prepared and delicious. We will definitely be staying there again when we’re in the area.

What a find!

My husband and I have just returned home from a wonderful stay at Pine Lodge with hosts Wendy and Steven. The accommodation was extremely clean and very comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. We have never met such hospitable, welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts. We arrived to a  warm welcome, and this continued throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and they both went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic holiday. We have stayed in lots of lovely B & B's but this beats the lot. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Stay At Pine Lodge

Wow what a gem !!! 
Wendy and Steve greeted us with a warm welcome and great hospitality. 
Spotlessly clean room with its own TV lounge, lovely breakfast, beautiful setting.
The B&B has its own carpark and it was great not to have to drive for a couple of days and be able to explore the hilly terrain and beautiful coastal walks right from the doorstep (Valley of the Rocks and Watersmeet) recommended. We ate at the Crown (10 mins walk) and Nartnapa Thai Restaurant (3 mins away) both served excellent food. 
Enjoyed strolling round Lynton-Lynmouth with its tea shops and icecream parlours.
Pine Lodge is a little slice of heaven! Thankyou for a wonderful relaxing stay.

Amazing B&B!

Stayed August 2019. Fantastic hosts, fantastic breakfast, clean presented rooms, one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in! Lovely area - you definitely are in a secluded area and definitely the place to go if you are looking for peace and quiet surrounded by nature. Will definitely be going back in the years to come! Thank you for being amazing!
