This hotel (restaurant with rooms) gets absolutely everything right. Owners and staff are friendly and attentive, the place is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated and the food is just sublime. As a bonus, they have the Covid restrictions just right so that everyone is safe but there is still the same atmosphere of relaxed peacefulness. Very highly recommended.

All of the reviews highlight the stylish décor and high standard of customer service at this fine hotel set in lovely parkland. The lady we assumed to be the owner and all the staff we met seemed genuinely interested in the guests, and although never intrusive were ready to chat and ask how our day had gone.
The building dates back many centuries and has a fascinating history; however, the modern makeover is stylish and in keeping – we particularly liked the combination of lighting and flower arrangements in the dining room. We stayed in a ‘junior suite’ on the attic level, which was very comfortable and well-equipped, though there was no in-room hospitality tray, presumably due to COVID concerns. The hotel is fiercely COVID-averse, and the rooms are misted with disinfectant before new guests arrive.
Dinner in the restaurant is leisurely (in a good way!) and is preceded by canapés, an appetiser and delicious breads before the starter, main course and pudding. Many reviewers have remarked on the excellent wine list. All in all, highly recommended.

Absolutely superb meal delivered for all four of us.Good wine selection  available and the covid arrangements were second to  none.Really well looked after by the staff and pampered to be fair.Even organised/laid on a taxi for us  -  when we could not get one.

For me to find a top end restaurant , with a great wine list , with lovely rooms in enchanting surroundings would normally be heaven.
The owners and there wonderful staff made it Paradise.

I always make a point of reading the worst reviews of places I visit even if they are extremely rare. I applaud the careful responses to these imbecile malcontents who wrote negative reviews for this magnificent establishment. It is quite impossible to fault the attention to detail, friendliness and sheer professionalism of the staff at Plas Bodegroes.  Miss this place at your peril, it is a masterclass in exquisite food, extremely accomplished  staff and superb service. Nothing is too much trouble and it is so refreshing to languish in such a pastural idyll. Many thanks for a most memorable day and evening with my love. PS. Could have been warmer in the  garden in the morning, do something about it!  Xx

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Plas Bodegroes; this has been our first visit to the hotel, but hopefully not our last. 

The hotel accommodation is typical of a Boutique Hotel housed in what has previously been a private residence with all the interesting little quirks you would expect. 

The food, though, is to die for and although the menu is not large it contains an excellent range of choices and changes from day to day - the problem is not what to choose, but what to leave out; and the quality is top class. The whole experience is made perfect by the friendliness and attention of all the staff who are clearly well trained but so anxious to make your stay something you wll remember for a very long time.

If you haven't yet been to Plas Bodegroes but enjoy good food in a friendly relaxing atmosphere, you should take the opportunity to stay here on a visit to the delightful Llyn Pensinsular in North Wales.

I stayed recently to attend a wedding locally. I was recommended this hotel due to location, however once I arrived I was stunned by how lovely it was inside. 

I was wonderfully greeted by the manager who made the check in process ever so painless and quick. Later that evening another colleague also tended to me and was extremely helpful and friendly; both were. 

The interior is lovely, well kept, and very homely. The room was lovely and comfortable, with a lovely view of the gardens. 

Strongly recommend and would stay again.  Perhaps next time even try the food - I hear the breakfast is delicious. 

We recently spent 4 nights at this charming hotel. The staff, headed by the lovely Lynn are efficient, knowledgeable and welcoming. Dining was perfection, from canapés on the terrace, delightful meal in the dining room to coffee and petit fours in the lounge. The menu had interesting choices every evening and there was an excellent wine list. Our room was in the annexe and was warm and cosy. An altogether relaxing and enjoyable break. Can’t wait to return. 

My husband and I have stayed here many times over the years. 
This place just gets better.

The breakfast is cooked to perfection and the staff wonderful. Evening meal served in the most romantic dining room really is an experience. Never tasted food better anywhere. 👍 Will definitely return next year.

We have just returned from a special anniversary break at Plas Bodegroes. We decided on this delightful place because it looked so romantic and had wonderful reviews. We were not disappointed! It was gorgeous and all the food was delicious. The staff, without exception, charming, friendly, helpful and so kind. We can’t wait to return!

This is a stunning pace to stay. Located on the Lleyn peninsula, near the sea and with its own wonderful gardens. The house combines elegance and style with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are professional, friendly and make you feel very welcome. It's a bit like staying in the home of a well-off friend! The room we had was in the attic and was very cosy, well appointed and with an great bathroom. I am not sure why the restaurant does not continue to have a Michelin star (not that it matters) because it deserves it. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and very pretty,  the food is very very good, classic ingredients with a twist. The wine list is well thought out and spectular value for money considering the quality of the place. In fact Plas Bodegroes is spectacular value for money. It has a peaceful calm about it that makes to reluctant to leave. I can't recommend it highly enough.
