The staff are absolutely fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay here over Christmas. The staff from cleaners to management were so friendly and professional. The room was lovely and toasty. Food was good and although our room overlooked the street, I loved the vibrant atmosphere at Christmas. Thank you for making our stay great. We will be back for sure.

What should have been a lovely meal to celebrate a family members 70th birthday was everything but….. 
-minimal menu options due to the kitchen running out for items (wasn’t disclosed to you when being given a menu) 
- seafood platter was missed off the order - then took 15 mins to be served was told it would be 5 mins due to the fish being frozen (nice) 
- seafood platter arrived salmon wasn’t cooked see picture. Sent back to the kitchen Waited another 10 mins  by this time everyone else has finished eating. Food arrived again salmon still not cooked and sea bass missing. 
- waiters and waitresses completely helpless had no clue what was going on. 
- drinks orders taking 30 mins each time. 
- manager not engaged and only spoke to us when we keep asking she took 50% off the bill but and gave us 2 bottle of Prosecco but doesn’t change the fact a family meal has been ruined due to complete lack of management or trained staff absolutely abysmal. 
WILL NEVER RETURN 

We weren’t the only ones that complained multiple tables got up and walked out when their food was on the table. 
Pub needs closing down and reopening when proper staff are in place

While my mum was in a nursing home in Kenilworth, after I sold the house, I stayed at four different hotels & an apartment in Kenilworth but The Abbeyfield was my definite favourite. Ticks all the boxes. Lovely location, interesting old building, on a bus route. The rooms are clean, functional & tastefully decorated. Great breakfast. Spacious dining room. Big choice on the cooked menu & on the buffet to help yourself to. There’s a pub too. The Mushroom & Ale Pie with chips, veg & gravy is delicious. And a very good Chinese takeaway next door & post office/ general store over the road. And beyond all this the highlights are the bathroom lights come on as you approach the door, very useful, and such friendly, efficient staff. I’ve finished with Kenilworth now as my mum died last week but for a time I felt as at home as I could at The Abbeyfield.

Lovely comfortable room.Excellent friendly staff.Will happily stay again in this fantastic hotel.

All good for what we paid.  The only negative that stood out was that most of the upholstery on the seats in the bar and restaurant could go with upholstery cleaner.  Staff were fine and breakfast was good.  Good location in town

No indication when entering from car park where reception was located. Menus (breakfast)good but printing too small. Several cars on car park not (apparently) logged in which restricted guests parking.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was incredible. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely go again. A few of us are vegan and the options were amazing. Everyone was delighted with their experience. We highly recommended!

the food in the restaurant is one of the best in the area with large portions
the only problem I think is the breakfast. Little variety on the buffet and it is renewed right away
e.g. 08:00 already the 3 croissants with jam were running out and they were not filling them again.
