The Plough Inn Ripple

We stayed 3 nights  in this Inn. The diners were perfekt and made by chef Brian and served bij Roy. Very nice and big rooms to stay. Very nice shower. The atmosphere was very relaxed en the beer and wine om good temperature. Lovely quests from aou the neighbourhood. Hope to come again.

Have eaten here 3 times in the past two weeks, once for birthday celebration, then  a Sunday family roast and finally with a friend for midweek lunch! The portions of food are substantial to say the least! Food and service excellent thanks to Brian, Roy and the team!!

After a 5 hour journey we received a warm and friendly welcome from the owner and staff. A table for dinner was set up for us  straight away and there was a good varied menu choice.
We looked at the rooms before going and they did not disappoint. The room was tastefully decorated with furnishings to match. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were enough pillows. 
The tea tray was well stocked up and complimentary bottles of water were also on offer. The wardrobe had plenty of hangers and an iron and ironing board with a hair dryer was also there for you to use.
A guest book had also been provided with useful information about the pub and local amenities, which was great when we needed to book a taxi.
We booked the Sunday lunch with friends and were really pleased with the choice, quality and quantity of the food. We all agreed we hadn’t a roast anywhere that matched up to it!
Breakfast choice was good and was very tasty too.
We felt that the owners had really thought about a guests needs and had provided a service that was outstanding, we will definitely go back again.

We went for Sunday lunch and it was amazing! Huge portion  sizes, extremely helpful waitress and even a great choice for the vegan and veggie guests! My husband nearly cried over the chocolate orange dessert so that is highly recommended! Owners are just a treat and very welcoming. We live in Eythorne but will be back very soon! Just a joy xx

WOW !! what a wonderful find in Ripple. We stayed here for 2 nights and cannot fault this accommodation on anything. The accommodation was immaculately clean throughout the bar and the room. The room was luxurious and spacious( check the quote from Home  🏡 Alone )Bathroom had a fantastic power shower 🚿 and a comfy 😴💤bed 🛏 what more could you ask 🤗. Breakfast was hearty and tasted amazing!What a great chef the landlord  Roy was 😍.We also had dinner hear as we felt it would be scrummy and it was. If you are looking for a place to stay DON'T HESITATE just book.🥰

This was lovely camping nearby so decided too pop in for lunch it was superb a proper gem so glad we only live in Dover so can go again soon. Lovely selection of food and drinks dog friendly as well . Didn’t want the peas with my meal but was given a lovely side salad

Absolute lovely stay a little out the way but we didn’t mind at all very friendly people nothing was a problem we got a taxi into deal which was reasonably priced also had a Sunday lunch at the plough it was very nice 

25 of us adults and children have just been camping nearby for the weekend. We stumbled across this amazing pub whilst on a walk on Saturday and had a few drinks in the lovely garden. We asked if we could book a roast for the following day, not expecting they could cater for all of us last minute. Sunday we all arrived and the roast was amazing. Piping hot, plentiful fresh vegetables and boneless is cheesy cauliflower and broccoli you could only dream off. All the food came out at the same time, choice of pork, beef, chicken or mixed. Beautiful meat and puddings to die for. Highly recommend this amazing pub

Thus. pub is a treasure in hiding. 
In the middle of nowhere but as nice as it can be. Three rooms and ours was delightful. Comfy bed, great shower, and very quiet unless your  neighbor has the tv on too late. Staff could not be nicer or more accommodating. Centrally located in Kent and near Solleys--best ice cream.   I could not have been  more pleased

Great country pub with welcoming friendly staff and customers. Lovely furnished spacious room with a view and great facilities with all you need. Parking on site always a plus. Great value for money and fabulous breakfast, we can’t believe the rate for what we got was superb. We will definitely be back and not too far out of town.

Amazing roast

A Gem

Strange little place down narrow lanes off the Dover-Deal road. Ample parking. Stayed several nights; it was never really busy in the pub, a few locals. Good, large room. Adequate bath. Could use a new chair (or two.) As you would expect, it was quiet but I would suggest they not put their televisions on a shared wall with the room next door. Do they need tellies, really? Nice folks, good bar and breakfast service. Excellent eggs and bacon/sausage, etc. Added bonus - you’re very close to Solley’s Dairy Farm - fantastic ice cream.

Hidden pub in Kent

Great Sunday lunch with friends, service not to bad, a bit scatty with some off the staff! food great.  The only thing to have a moan about is I’m a coeliac and when I book a restaurant I always mention it wherever I go as I have to be very careful! The few times I have booked here, the message never gets through to the chef, which is strange, when I booked last time the guy that took this booking apologised for not telling the chef last time and wouldn’t do it again! But he did do it again. The chef is very accommodating and had gluten free bits in her freezer, but all the same I think they should remember to say to her. I’m not like a vegan or vegetarian who choose that lifestyle, I can be very ill if I have gluten.  I will be back again and fingers crossed the message will get back to her🤞

Good Sunday Lunch

Great location with friendly staff and spacious room

On my mums recommendation we visited here and we were not disappointed!! Service was so friendly and warm. It was great for mum to have a good chat with one of the ladies about her Nan who was a very dear friend and bowling companion and to talk about the ladies family who my mum knew.

Nothing was too much trouble and we weren’t the only table to get this great and very friendly service.

The roast was incredible, all so fresh and delicious, great selection of vegetables and my lamb was cooked to perfection.

My husband usually writes our reviews but he wasn’t with us and I had to let you know you have an amazing proper pub.

With the regulars and the drinkers all talking and laughing with the staff like friends- we will definitely return.

One little point… the bench seat we sat on and the floor under our table was a little dirty but all in all a great experience and one that we shall repeat.

Best Sunday Roast

Just got back from staying two nights at the plough. Had a fantastic welcome from the bar maid who was so helpful. Lovely bright room so clean . Only problem were the beds , they were only 2ft 6 in wide and we kept thinking we were going to fall out! Very soft mattress as well but still we slept well . Breakfast was great but would still prefer to see menu s on the table instead of being asked ‘what do you want?’ 
Found the landlord was not that friendly . The next morning we didn’t realise that you had to pre book your breakfast slot for the next day and we just came downstairs and found no table set up for us. The other landlord seemed to be quite put out but carried on to serve us emphasising that we should have let them know we wanted breakfast ! We did feel bad but he seemed to be sulking that we had appeared! 
All in all a pretty good place .
