We stayed here as we had a wedding to go to at Crowcombe Court which is about 20 minutes drive. A lovely warm welcome, great food, nice old country pub and good atmosphere. You will need to book a table if you want to eat as they get very busy. We had room 5 which was clean, warm and the bed comfortable. Would definitely stay again one day. Oh, and nice toasted tea cakes!

A great really popular pub. We popped in for a couple of pints and for their curry night on Tuesday. Great beer and food and very reasonably priced. You'd better book in advance though as this place gets really busy.  The staff were all helpful and dogs are welcomed too. Highly recommended.

This is a great traditional English pub. We nearly always call in when in the area. This Thursday we booked a table and had 3 excellent steaks on their Thursday steaknight. Not a bad steak all great. Great food, excellent low price, friendly staff and quick service. Why can't all pubs be this good ?

Just a lovely traditional pub with friendly staff and great home cooked food.  An extensive menu at reasonable prices.  Gluten free is available.
Also there is a really nice outside area in a beautiful setting with a river close by,  perfect for the summer.

We rate 5 out of 5 because the food was perfect .The staff were very kind and helpful. The food came out timely . It is a good feed, we  were all very full.  Overall, it  was really amazing, so thank you for a wonderful evening.We really hope we will be back soon.

Fabulous old pub with wonderful rooms/bar and views. Ideal as a base for the Exmoor countryside. Highly recommended. The food and atmosphere was amazing, and the riverside seating area was suitable for families. Really love this unpretentious Inn. 

It was a fantastic spot to land after a long drive on our way to St. Ives.  We wanted to break the drive and be fresh to explore the next day.  The place was welcoming, quaint, and food was glorious.  Staff were really nice, rooms clean and wonderfully quirky, as you would expect for such an old building.  A great stop off point on our adventure.

We stayed at the White Horse Inn for one evening while travelling round the area and I’m so glad we did! This is a beautiful pub in a beautiful setting. They have a great selection of draught ales and my favourite cider and the pub itself is very tastefully decorated with lots of memorabilia dotted about. It has a lovely cosy pub-feel to it and both the staff and locals are extremely friendly. The food is exceptional but if you’re planning on staying the night I would highly recommend booking a table for dinner as this place gets very busy in the evenings which speaks volumes. We had room 4 which has a view over the Washford River. The room was comfortable and clean and has loads of character. We also opted for breakfast which was tasty and cooked to order. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to all the staff and to the locals Wes, Terry and Stuart for letting us sit at your table when there were no free tables when we came back from the Cider farm! We  had such a laugh and they treated us like old friends. We will definitely be returning again for more fine food, great beer and fabulous company. Thank you all.

We were made to feel very welcome in this really old n comfortable pub ! Directions to find it were good and had ample parking !! Excellent staff etics and they were really friendly an efficient !! 
Dinner n breakfast was great - good choice on menu and fantasticly tasty !!

Beautiful pub

Lovely location, friendly service. We both enjoyed our meals and they were reasonable price. We didn't stay here so can't comment on accommodation. Some of the meals are huge! We had booked in advance and the place was fully booked unless you ate outside and this was Wednesday evening so don't just turn up.

Good value food

Love this pub! 

I was visiting the area as part of a two day off-road motorcycle course with Dave Thorpe Honda.  I chose the White Horse Inn because of it's location, the fact that it had a bar and a restaurant and because it was all very reasonably priced... and I was not let down, I really enjoyed my three night stay.
The Inn is an old but well maintained building with (I would imagine) an interesting history, so the rooms/hallways are relatively small with some low ceilings (all part of the charm). My single room was comfortable, clean, had all the usual facilities and was very quiet considering it was close to the busy bar/restaurant. If you want modern, fashionable accommodation then this is not for you, however if you want simple comfort and charm then this is ideal.  Wi-fi is also available...
The bar, restaurant and staff were all excellent and the food was good. Across the road from the Inn is an impressive beer garden with table facilities, all of which I enjoyed as I sat beside a small river on a sunny spring day. Beside the garden is an enclosed car park.
I plan to return to the area next year, and I will happily stay at the White Horse Inn once more.

It was a busy Friday night, but the Landlord found us a table as we were flexible with our times. What a LOVELY, COSY atmosphere as you walk in and such a friendly greeting too! Our table was perfect (Number 16) as it was a quieter spot for our dog.  We ordered our food at the bar and, considering it was a busy time,  we really didn’t have long to wait. When the food arrived, it was piping hot and looked delicious. I had the Slow-Cooked  Pork Belly  and it was as delicious as it looked. Unfortunately, we were SO FULL…. There was NO SPACE for dessert! Thank You for Our Lovely Meal!

Delightful, Dog Friendly Pub

Had 4 nights stay, clean and comfortable room. The shower was very small for us two large people, but it is a very old pub, and have done a great job to convert everything. The food was very good, and quite a busy pub. There have been complaints of noise from locals in the pub, its a pub !!!! what do people expect. 
We would certainly stay again, and enjoyed the harbour and its history at Watchet

Great place

Stayed here for one night. Staff were exceptional from check in throughout service at dinner and breakfast. My only comment would be the single bed in room 3 needs replacing. It's far too narrow and slopes slightly making sleep slightly sporadic. Food was great and reasonably priced, good beer too!  Beautiful setting. 

Lovely pub with rooms

We were staying in a holiday property across the road from the pub.
We booked a table over the phone and on arrival received a warm welcome and four of us are evening meals which were good quality.
We also drank there on a separate occasion and agin received a warm welcome and the landlord was happy to explain the beers on tap etc.
He also stated pub was full inside and we would need to use garden, also staying he could get us inside in around 20 mins if we wanted.
Fantastic garden with river running beside it, covered area if required and plenty of seating.
Stayed outside as it was a pleasant evening 
Would visit again if in the area
