The Stone Barn at Stratton was one of the nicest UK breaks we have experienced in the UK, in fact with the Covid-19 issue and such a long period confined, combined with such service it felt like the Maldives! Such a lovely apartment, incredibly hospitable hosts, a lovely swimming pool, fantastic location and a short drive to so many beautiful villages and landmarks and endless countryside to freely roam around. Welcomed with champagne and strawberries, the apartment was both spotless and incredibly well equipped. Comfortable and relaxing I cannot recommend the stone barn highly enough

Luxury, quality, excellent location and fantastic customer service

We had a wonderful long weekend in the Stone Barn at Stratton House. We stayed in the luxuriously appointed and spacious Langham studio. The studio had beautiful views of the garden and the peaceful surroundings, fresh air and comfortable bed made for a wonderful nights rest! We made use of the pristine indoor heated pool, a few steps away, which was a wonderful way to start the day.

Chris and John are welcoming, friendly hosts and they went the extra mile to enhance our stay. We so appreciated thoughtful touches like providing our preferred breakfast staples, luxury toiletries in the bathroom and a great selection of books and magazines. 

In these unprecedented times, we were especially grateful for the level of sanitisation and cleanliness and as the only guests felt absolutely safe and confident with respect to our health and wellbeing.

On one of the days, we followed our hosts recommended route for visiting a number of the Cotswolds villages. We had a full day filled with glorious views and tree lined roads and towns filled with wonderful art, architecture and scenery.

We left the Stone Barn feeling like we had had a marvellous break, rested and recharged and hoping to return in the future!

Luxurious gem in a peaceful village

My partner and I have stayed at the Stone Barn a number of times and we are always pleased to return. The accommodation is excellent, and Christina has literally thought of everything. I love the personal touches, the cereal we eat, the juice we like and definitely the tub of Pringles! Cannot wait to return once again and it is in beautiful part of the Oxfordshire countryside too. 

A wonderful stay once again!!!!

Stayed here for three nights in August.  Everything was outstanding including the communication post booking, welcome on arrival and the attention to detail from Christina.  The studio was absolutely first class and I couldn't fault a thing - luxury.  We also used the swimming pool and it was spotlessly clean.  This is beautiful accommodation in a lovely quiet little village.  We would definitely recommend and return.  Thank you Christina and John!

What a lovely stay we had

Fantastic stay in the Stone Barn. Host Chris is brilliant and instantly made us feel welcomed and at home. From providing our favourite breakfast cereals in the Kitchenette to the high quality toiletries in the bathroom. 
Brilliant and peaceful view of her garden from the Juliette window. We are already discussing going back. Have given 5 stars but would easily give 100. 

Fantastic 

We have just had a long weekend at Stone Barn, a beautiful conversion in the garden of the owners main house. The barn comprises 3 magnificent spacious apartments, all equipped with absolutely everything you could hope for. 

We were greeted by the lovely Chris and her slightly absent-minded husband John who spent ages showing us round and making sure we knew how everything worked. They seem to be almost born into the hospitality arena.

Our room looked out on to a magnificent American walnut tree, and was utterly peaceful. We made our own breakfast in the little kitchen which had every appliance you could need. We ate out at local pubs each evening including the 'local' which is just 50m away and serves very good food, particularly the Sunday lunch.

This is the ideal spot for touring the area, and especially those visiting Silverstone which is about 10 miles away. The house provides ample very secure parking behind electric gates.

Perfect for Silverstone !

Very comfortable with everything you could want. Lovely view over the garden. Extremely clean. Well equipped kitchenette, but we did not cook.  Lovely pub a stroll away. You have use of the owners indoor pool, which was very impressive.

There is plenty to do in the area. Very central for visiting lots of places.
