Woodlands Guest House Windermere

My friend and I stayed at the Woodlands in Windermere and were truly impressed. The property is beautiful, welcoming, and well-kept, with clean and comfortable spaces that make you feel at home right away. Breakfast was one of the highlights: very good, varied, and plentiful, perfect for starting the day with plenty of energy. A special thanks goes to Gabriella, who was extremely kind and helpful, providing us with valuable information about the places to visit in the area and helping us discover the best of the Lake District. We would not recommend it to those arriving by car, as the parking area is very limited: few available spaces, tight spots, and unfortunately our car was damaged due to the parking. On the other hand, for those traveling by public transport, the location is perfect, just a 5 minutes walk to the center of Windermere. Another small downside was the door to our room which had difficulty opening and closing. It’s a small issue to fix, but one that would greatly improve the overall comfort of the stay. Im conclusion the Woodlands remains a recommended place to stay, especially for those looking for a well-kept, welcoming environment in the heart of the Lake District.
