Premier Inn Abingdon Hotel

The staff were exceptionally kind and thoughtful as we'd come for a family funeral. We asked ahead of time if we could check in early and they it wasn't a problem at all. When we checked into our room they had left both us and other members of our family in a separate room a box of chocolates with a note from the staff. It really was a special touch.

A convenient location to visit Oxford by bus as parking is difficult in Oxford  City centre. A bonus was to discover the town of Adingdon which is full of history and a pretty location situated on the Thames. 

Fantastic staff, friendly and efficient. Bridget went out of her way to find me a nice quiet room, as I had requested. Very nice greeting when I arrived, and lovely friendly chat with Bridget and another member of staff (sorry, I don't have the name) when I left. I felt very welcome and will be returning soon. The room was perfect: cosy, large, quiet and clean. A lovely stay!

Very clean rooms and the receptionist on Christmas Day was amazing, she let us check in early so we could get off and see our family. Very spacious and warm rooms 10/10 would stay again and recommend to friends and family

Friendly and efficient staff, the room was much bigger than we had anticipated.. A Beefeater adjoining hotel with price deals… The staff at breakfast and evening meals could not do enough for you. I would highly recommend this hotel..

I was so impressed with the welcome, the man on the desk carried my bags to the room and then went to the restaurant to get me decaf teabags. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was in the Beefeater restaurant next door which was standard.

We stayed for one night in September.
The room was well presented and clean and we had a good night sleep.
The staff were polite and helpful.
The meal in the restaurant was very enjoyable and the waiting staff friendly and efficient.
Very much what we have come to expect of Premier Inn stays, when they are good they really meet a our needs.

We booked this hotel for 5 days as we had a function to attend nearby and wanted to explore the region afterwards. The weather when we arrived was seriously hot and the receptionist was kind enough to bring us iced water and a cotton sheet to sleep under. Very much appreciated! As expected, the hotel was clean and comfortable - as was the bed. Any requests we had were carried out immediately. Thanks to Bridget and Claire!

However, the Beefeater restaurant adjoining the hotel was another matter ! 

We purchased 'meal deals' for most days from the hotel. This gave an inclusive deal for dinner and full English breakfast.

The first morning we arrived in the restaurant to be told that there was no chef - so no cooked breakfast or pastries. The same evening we were told that they had a chef, who unfortunately, was not 'grill trained', so VERY limited menu. The week carried on with work being done in the kitchen, so restaurant closed at 8pm! ...and on at least one occasion no desserts were available. 

This really spoilt our stay as we like to spend the day out and come back to relax with a few drinks and a meal without having to drive anywhere. 

I don't think this was the fault of the hotel as they didn't seem to be aware of the problem in the beginning. Had we known about the restaurant situation, we would have stayed elsewhere. 

Fingers crossed our next stay will be more successful!

Stayed here for 7 weeks while on a training course. 
Couldn’t recommend it enough. Room was a good size, bed was comfortable and fans were provided and very much needed during the heatwave.
Staff are always polite and friendly and greet you with a smile on their face.

Stayed here for 7 wks was on a training course with my work. Great place to stop, nice rooms clean and tidy and always fresh. The staff on reception very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay would recommend.

Kind and thoughtful staff

Excellent, personal customer service and cosy quiet room - very happy!!

Our room was on the back of the hotel and was.very quiet. Rooms and beds as you would expect, quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The location suited us, we did drive into Abingdon  as it was a bit of a walk, not sure how far, but it was conveniently situated to get about the area.

Service and stay was great but Beefeater for breakfast was poor. over the 4 days of stay no cooked breakfast available and the continental offering was very dry...dried out bread, pancakes, crumpets and on the last day there was finally croissants. Not the Premier Inns fault, it's just the only option available.

Clean well presented room, nice nealy

Just spent a single night while attending a wedding in Abingdon.  The hotel is well located for a short walk into town.  We had breakfast on site which was plentiful and lots of choice.  We chose to have our main meal elsewhere with other family members but the Beefeater restaurant would have suited us if we were on our own.
The room was comfy but no air conditioning and it was pretty hot.  There was a freestanding fan but we couldn't leave it on all night as it was really loud!
We do try to use Premier Inns for short trips as the value is great.
