The Tropi Turtle Guesthouse left us inspired. We had fun and meaningful conversations with the owner Sidney. His goal is to save the Sinharaja rainforest where he grew up. So with every stay you support this cause. The location is great, because you easily get to multiple surf locations or take the break right in front if the house. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the waterside underneath the palm trees. For dinner numerous restaurants are within walking distance. Since volunteers regularly support Sidney and always some long term surfers stay around you will also have some welcoming warmhearted folks being there for you and make it feel like a little family. We would recommend to get a room in the back house, because its quieter and you hang out in the beautiful garden. You will even find some medicinal plants.
