Yala Tree House Safari

My friend and I spend one night in the tree house and it was our most real experience in Sri Lanka! 

The house are simple but clean and spacious, you really have a indoor outdoor experience, you have a view from your bed through the windows which allows you to see the sunrise without moving. 

The location is perfect right at the border of the national park, heaps of wild animals around, it feels like sleeping in a zoo lol.

The owners are adorable , they don't really speak English but are still understandable and make everything for you to feel comfortable. We took the option without food and they still made us a lovely fruits breakfast !

This was experience with big E! Place owner was really nice and handled everything greatly! We took from him whole day safari and family treehouse for 2 nights! Kids did love the place as us adults also. Safari was great we did saw almost every different animals in park. Food was good and everything was handled nicely. This is not 5star luxury house, this is experience what everyone should try! Just listen the jungle and relax!

This is truly a hidden gem. There are 7 tree houses on the property all offering the true out door experience.  The tree houses are high up in the tree and include a wash basin and toilet so you don't have to come down the tree at night when nature calls. The breakfast was amazing and we asked on arrival if dinner was possible and they cooked us an amazing buffet bbq dinner in the evening.  Host Sampath joined us for dinner and he told us the most amazing and interesting stories about the parc and local life. If you want a one of a kind experience back in nature this is your place to stay.
This is a fully eco operated camp with electricity from solar panels and the water comes from the rain water recuperation up on the rocks close by. An unforgettable experience if you want to stay in nature. Don't come expecting a pool or any other fancy stuff , this is a true nature camp and we loved it!

Such an instering experiance. You can wake up with sun and birds singin. It is realy onece in a life time moment. Very nice people, delicious food and nice place to spend the night in the jungle. I recomend it ti everyone who is visiting Yala.

This is a place for people who want to experience real life in the wilderness. I’m not going to say my stay was perfect, but it will be an experience I’ll remember for ever. It’s a family run business where the staff will do everything in their power to satisfy you. They took me on 2 walking safaris that are very rare. The rooms are pretty cool, but you are in the wilderness, so there’s a good chance you’ll see loads of animals, birds and insects everywhere, including your room and shared showers. And there’s no air conditioning, so be prepared.

Amazing night in a tree house on the edge of Yala National Park

Nice tree house experiance

What a terrible experience we had. We went down to the appu tree house around 8 at night. We had to buy all the food as the food was not included to the price they charged. The room was really dark and couldn’t do a thing. When we asked about the darkness, they said foreigners don’t like the lighter environment which was  so hard to believe.There were no bathroom upstairs only a toilet. When we went to the toilet, there was a snake inside the commode. Bathroom was outside and full of frogs. We just asked them to make two minutes noodles and eggs for breakfast for thee people and they changed $1000 saying they have to give money to the cooking person. They use solar for lights which was why it was so dark at night time. There were nothing but they asked $8000. When we asked about the safari they asked for another $5500. If you want to waste your money you should go there. Only positive thing was the two people who were doing this business was friendly. Would not go there again for sure
