Lovely place to stay one block from beach.  Delicious Sri Lanken breakfast, egg hoppers, dahl curry and roti.  Or you can have a western breakfast but I recommend the Sri Lankan.  wonderful warm service.  Clean room with great Air conditioning.  Very good value for the money, wonderful hosts.

We had a wonderful stay with Channa and her family. They are very generous and kind hosts, with whom we had a wonderful time (improvised cookery class, passing on a few Sinhalese words). The room is spacious with a very pleasant balcony. And let's not forget the breakfast (homemade every morning), which deserves a special mention: tasty and very hearty!

Really nice place. Lovely big clean rooms with ac. 5 min walk to beautiful beach and 10 min walk to supermarket. The host Chanda is very helpful. He is happy to help arrange trips to Yala, Ella, fishing trips and turtle tours. Good value for money

We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. The family that runs the lodge are friendly and kind. They served us a traditional breakfast every morning. It was walking distance to a beach and some restaurants. Tuk tuks easily available to take you wherever you wanted to go.

Nice quiet safe place to get some rest and relaxing, walking distance to the beach and walking distance to town like cargils, and restaurants, except for the tonnes of mosquitoes - really relaxing and quiet

Nice quiet place

Rooms were basic which is what I was looking for. The got extremely hot in mid afternoon and I was told that air con would only be switched on during high season.

No wifi until I asked twice and it turned out that the owner just hadn't paid the bill.

Few times some of the street dogs came up the stairs to go through my bin outside the room and I had to ask for it to be emptied.

Other than that, the place was fine. Close to the beach and 10 mins from the bus station, pharmacy and shops.

Probably better during high season

The room we had was very basic. On one side of the room we had no curtains. We had no chairs to sit outside. The breakfast wasn't really special. Just the usual tea, egg, bread and a little fruit. The second day we had some curd as well. The location is ok but for the same price you can get a nice room near the beach. The owner is a very nice guy.
