I came to the dorms for one night.
Had grrat talk with the lady who runs the place, its clean and comfortable.
Very good hospitality! Recommended.
The price you pay worth the distance from city center and the tuktyk that will get you there.

Great place to stay, cheap and worthy!

Stayed one night found it amazing staff is very helpful and friendly special Lataa the sweet lady's common word Darling is sound nice. Beds are good breakfast was good too. I just forgot my mobile power bank and charging cable in hostel it was my own mistake but 1st mistake is not mistake it is learning

My toddler and I stayed 2 nights at Kandy Down Town Hostel ( the one at 101, Aniwatta Road). It was my very first backpacking experience with a toddler so was bit nervous but this place made us feel home and luckily we had a whole house to ourselves.Excellen Wi-fi. The caretaker and house boy were very nice and friendly. Continental breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this place to backpackers travelling to Kandy.

absolutely fantastic!!!

This hostel caretaker is very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is all yours in case you wish  u to cook some special delicacies.  A the bathrooms and bedrooms are cleaned time to time. The hostel rate compared to its tidiness is very affordable and cheap.
For backpackers, I highly recommend this hotel to experience the travellers journey.
I had the best time of my life in this hostel. I came as a solo traveller and met travellers from across the globe making friends back home.


Clean, budget, friendly backpackers stay

I was very happy, reasonable price, big space, great wifi, laundry services, and delicious dinner at a great rate.  Extra credit to both Kanthi, and Mapa for making the stay extra nice with their kindness, and helpfulness, plus that food I already mentioned

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

A very familiar hostel, very close and very friendly people, very nice people. Pushpa takes care that everything is very clean and if there is any problem she will not hesitate to solve it! The breakfast is complete, enough energy for It is like being at home! It is a little far from the center but always comes a nice walk!

Calm, pleasant, as at home.

Our stay was very nice. The rooms are clean and the two ladies were very helpful. They recommended a tour of a tea factory and a spice garden, which was really great. We felt good.

Down town

The hostel is located about 20 minutes' walk from Kandy. The Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha statue is also not far away. You are greeted by two nice women who also take care of you and your laundry as hostel moms. The dorms are clean and those who do not disturb themselves in the bathroom with small roommates are really ok. The breakfast is inclusive and is also very lovingly prepared (toast, butter, jam, fruits depending on the day and egg). The hostel is also ideal for getting to know people and getting some tips for the trip.

Nice hostel in a quiet location

We spent a total of three nights at the hostel. At first it was very confusing because we had booked the Down Town Hostel, but then we got our beds in the cheaper one. That means two more houses. It wasn't clean, though. The hosts were very nice and you get to know many other bakers. The location is okay. A good snack is nearby and with the tuktuk you're in town in 5-10 minutes.

Not very clean and somewhat chaotic

We were three on the way and paid 2500 rupees for 3 people in 3 bed rooms. Rooms and showers are clean. The employee kanthi was very nice and helpful. We booked a tuk tuk from the guesthouse and paid 2100 rupees plus a tip for the whole day. We used tuk tuk to make the tea factory, tea plantation, spice garden and the elephant wash. Just ask kanthi who then called the tuk tuk driver jajawardana, who was very nice and helpful. From the guesthouse to the bus station the tuk tuk costs 200-250 rupees. The terrace in the courtyard is very cozy and quiet.
