Amazing place! Beautiful buildings with their own unique touches of luxury. Stayed here on a 7 day yoga retreat. The staff were so attentive, we didn’t want for anything. Charith and Dinuka couldn’t do enough for us and we had fresh and delicious traditional food cooked for us every day by Nuwan and Upul. We were greeted with cold coconut water and cold towels every morning after practice. The rooms were very comfortable and there were fresh flowers around the place every day. I can’t wait to return! 

We spent 7 nights here on a yoga retreat. 12 of us. It was perfect. The staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble. The food was all freshly cooked and delicious. The yoga Shala with views out to the jungle was perfect. The rooms were all spacious and comfortable with air con.  Great location tucked away in the mountains but only 10 mins in a TukTuk from Unawatuna and all it has to offer.  Would highly recommend. Loved it.

I led a yoga retreat at Satori and I am more than satisfied with how it went. The staff was incredibly nice to us and fulfilled every wish. The location is incredibly beautiful and quiet and peaceful. The food was fantastic!!! I would come back immediately and can highly recommend the place!!

Satori is beautiful!  The villa, the shallah, the meditation platform, the bed rooms, bathrooms, living areas, the gardens, the pool are all fantastic.  The attention to detail is not just aesthetically supreme, but offers everything you could possibly wish for. We spent 6 nights at Satori Villa with four children of varying ages and 5 adults. Absolutely beautiful villa, with an amazing location in the jungle surrounded by monkeys, parrots, fruitbats and frogs! 
Amazing peaceful location and a short ride in the tuk-tuks to the beaches. The bedrooms were really comfortable and we loved the pool, the yoga platform on the hill and most of all the truly wonderful staff. We went half board and the food was absolutely fantastic! 
What made it particularly special though was the wonderfully warm welcome from Hugh, Chathura and all the team both before and during our stay - our every need was catered for and given we travelled to the villa just after the Easter Sunday tragedy their care and concern for us was second to none.
I would highly recommend this villa and very much hope to return one day!

We have just arrived back from 5 days in the beautiful Satori Villa. This is our second visit to the Villa and yet again we were blown away by the service and the beautiful villa.

There were 7 of us in the party, two of which are children. It was a special occasion of a 70th birthday we were celebrating and the team at Satori went over and above to make this a very memorable holiday.

Food is amazing, the chef was great and would always accommodate my request for my younger daughter who is quite a fussy eater.

The tuk tuks that service the villa were always prompt and responsive and we booked some incredible tours to the tea plantation, turtle hatchery and a boat trip which the children greatly enjoyed.

I cannot find fault with this villa, it is absolutely beautiful and I must say a special thank you to Hugh, the owner, who always goes over and above to ensure your stay is perfect.

I am sure we will be back soon.

We spent 5 nights with our 2 teenagers in Satori & what a beautiful & peaceful place !
The Villa is surrounded by greenery,jungle,monkeys,flowers. But what made it extra special is the kindness & attention of every single staff.
Would love to return !

As others have said, this place is as good as and better than the brochure pics. I really like the fact that you struggle to find any plastic items at Satori - the straws are metal and reusable and the water in your room is in a glass bottle. Slightly embarrassed to be outnumbered by the staff here - just 5 of us looking for some peace on a family holiday. The team is friendly, efficient and happy. Rooms so comfy and a real delight to discover different wildlife every day; monkeys, monitor lizards, so many kingfishers, bats and fireflies. When we managed to make the strenuous effort to take a tuk tuk ride to a nearby beach it was a delight. Our one day trip was to see the whales in Marissa. A must. We have 10 and 9 year old boys and a 5 year old daughter and they are all very active. This place was perfect for us. We would love to return. I can’t recommend it enough.

We stayed at the BEAUTIFUL SATORI Villa in May 2018 for a friends bachelorette and for the short 4 days we were there, we all had the time of our life. 

The Villa / Guest Houses  
The rooms were exceptionally clean and the beds were comfortable and the grounds were breathtaking like something out of a movie. 
The pool is perfectly situated right in the middle of the compound, with views of the jungle that are inexplicable. We took advantage of that on most early morning before heading to the beach and in the evenings till late nights.  Not to mention our friendly resident monkey’s that loved dropping mango on us!

The Service
The best thing about this stay was the exceptional service and care we received from the staff. All the young gentlemen were beyond respectful and courteous to all 10 girls. 
The night security, including the two adorable Dogs (lucky 1 & lucky 2) made us feel safe and at home during the night with regular ground checks (Lucky 1 took it upon himself to be our body guard and escort me for the short walk to and from the villa / guest house, ADORABLE he didn’t do it for free thought he was fishing for cuddles the little rascal). 

For the most part, we felt like we were alone in the villa and had all the privacy a bunch of girls can ask for apart from when it was time to eat or when we needed their assistance with anything they would just appear out of thin air! 

The FOOD 
O.M.G Beyond amazing.
The young chef is exceptional. From breakfast to lunch to theme BBQ Dinner everything was perfect and more than enough to feed an army. (Still waiting for the coconut 

Management 
Chad and Hugh were the most patient people I have ever dealt with. Anything we needed they were available 24/7 to help. 
Chad in person during the day time and on messenger in the evening was always available and ready! Even Hugh from across the seas on messenger was able to send one of the boys to get rid of a spider for me in the out door shower. (That was the only thing that bothered me but lasted a minute and then I got over my fears and just jet blasted the whole bathroom with the water hose every time I needed to use it – very effective) P.s apologies if the water bill was high that week THAT WAS ME haha

We ended our trip with a lovely private fire show that the management has helped organize and it was such an experience! Not to mention the in house masseuse! The private early Yoga class! The ease of arranging tuk-tuks to and from places, assistance in booking authentic awesome local restaurants and much more.
