At first its a little hard to find but the price is cheap and the owner made our favourite breakfast even when we had to get Up at 4am.
She is super nice and we also did an amazing cooking class with her.
I can really recommend this place. 

Lovely Hostel 

We had a double room at Beauty Mount Inn in Jan 2020.
We used it as a stopover in Ella as we were getting the Ella > Kandy train the next morning.
Location and proximity to train station and Ella cafe strip is excellent. It’s a family run, small hotel (homestay almost) where the family were absolutely brilliant with us. Providing drinks on arrival, hot breakfast and coffee at 6am before our train, directions / local knowledge etc.
That is a huge plus for this hotel.
The room itself was clean and functional. We had a double bed, mosquito net and ensuite (although there was NO hot water).
The cons to this hotel are the steps up to there (there are quite a few) although they do have family that help carry bags etc. The hotel needs a bit of decor work and completion of building work but I suppose you get what you pay for.
Overall great spot for an overnight transit spot.

Great Service / Facility needs some work

Look for the steps between the bridge and the bus stop, as well as a sign to find this place. The location is great. You are very close to all the downtown amenities. However, it is also far enough up a hill (130 steps!) that you can barely hear the nightlife. I was only a few steps up when Sashi found me, helped me with my luggage, showed me to my room, and brought me drinks. Judging by some older pictures, this place has been updated. I found it clean and comfortable. This is the only place I stayed that used fabric softener! Sashi cooked my breakfasts, accompanied me to the nine arch bridge, recommended the best shops, and even helped me get some great prices. Thank you Sashi!

Great service

Stayed here for 3 nights,was very quite and peaceful. Rooms where spacious and staff really helpful. Little walk from the main road. But would highly recommend.Its about a 40 min walk to the 9 Arch Bridge aswell.

Clean & good value

It was a really peaceful place to stay. Its in downtown Ella and so close to all the restaurants. But it also feels like you are not in downtown because its up on a hill. The owner was really nice and helpful. Had nice places to read.

Peaceful Place To Stay

We stayed in a guest house for 2 nights. The plus of this guest house is: very nice location, right in the center of Ella. The friendly hosts, especially the hostess' brother, speak English well and we'll help with everything. Good breakfast. The minus: old rooms and plumbing. The toilet was in our room, there was always water on the floor. The beds were comfortable, but there were a lot of mosquitoes. The nets saved. And the rooms themselves are on the mountain, which you have to climb every step.

That's a nice gesture.

In town and close to everything. There wasnt much interaction and we didn't eat there but town is close enough for that. The host gave me a router for WiFi to use for my whole stay which was cool. As long as you don't mind the 100+ steps to get up there its a pleasant spot. 

Cheap and clean

Bathroom with mold and broken mirror, very low water flow in the shower. In the bedroom, a bed, a plastic chair and an apron to lay his things, anyway, there's no place to put more! No air conditioning but good, we knew it.

Don't take the standards!

We hadn't booked but they had space for us in what felt like a slightly forgotten room round the back! Quite basic but not bad for the price. Very close to everything. Up some lethal steps! Nice friendly staff. Laundry service available but certainly not a thorough wash! I don't know if they did food but breakfast wasn't included. 

Did the job!

The hostel is situated a short distance from the street on the slope and yet quite central (which is not difficult in the small area). The bungalows are in a beautiful quiet green garden and the owner is super friendly and pleasant and offers tea all the time!
