We arrived at nano villa after leaving one of the big beach monsters of the bentota coast line.  I was very sick with stomach cramps and the owner and his family were very kind giving me herbal medicine.  It was very peaceful, in a little village.  If your after action not the place for you.  But if you want to relax and be at peace, you’ve made it.  The owner provided a doggle for wifi and hooked up the satellite tv for us as we were the only people there and arrived within 1/2 hour of booking.  A much more authentic experience than the big places and we saw lots of native animals sitting from the top balcony.  Huge spacious rooms, nice pool.  More like a home stay.  

Away from the main town on a very quiet country lane

It is only a ten minute Tuk Tuk ride to the fantastic Bentota Rock Beach. The trip there in the morning is provided gratis

Although away from town this gem of a place is ideal if you want to be in Sri Lanka rather than a generic beach hotel

Family run you can opt for meals in the villa which are great and recommended 

The manager also recommended the nearby Rockery Villa Restaurant
to us  This was also a great place to eat 

Our last three days in Sri Lanka in Namo Villa were certainly the best, although we stayed mainly in the villa and lounged in and around the wonderful swimming pool we took advantage of the free tuk tuk service to visit town for shopping. The bus service (payable) to the airport was a bonus knowing the driver who provided us with a commentary during the voyage.Namo Villa provides a 5 star service and is especially pleasing to those people who wish to chill out!

The best thing about the villa is Jaya, the manager. He is pretty much connected to everything you might need and will organise everything for you. The villa is close to markets and the beach. I highly recommend renting bikes as you can discover the coast riding them. 

The downside might be the people walking around the house, loudly in the morning, however, I never complained about it at the villa. I am pretty sure they would adopt to our needs. 

Altogether, based on the cost-benefit, I fully recommend the place.

Peaceful Experience

You get what you pay for - even more

On arrival we were told the room we booked would not be available until the next day, with no apology. The room we were shown to was dismal, needed a good clean, no air, no fan,very poor AC, over looked the bins and washing and had a separate bathroom with lots of mosquitos. We were offered a free meal cooked by the owners wife, (there is no international restaurant) we declined the meal, the only place to sit was around the small pool in effectively a back yard, after a fraught conversation Jaya agreed to not charging us that night. Then over the next few days, the toilet broke beyond repair, we thought the electricity was faulty but discovered it was being turned off by the staff (family). They initially said they would continue to do this so we said we would, and intended to, leave (as there are no fans in the rooms). 3 times we had no water in the room and discovered they were also turning the water pump off! The wash hand basin then began flooding the bathroom, the noisie and ineffective AC unit packed up 2-3 days before the end of our holiday. We were the only guests in the guest house after our first night, which was a good job as we had to use the bathroom in a room across the landing and for the last 2-3 nights sleep in that room too. This has the potential to be a good guest house, but is in serious need of general maintenance work. Very very disappointing, best avoided.
