Landmar Play la Arena Standard All Inclusive Tenerife airport immigration was quick but baggage was a bit slower, but it’s a busy airport. TUI reps should move away from the top of the escalator as they cause crushes on the escalator as there’s no room for people to move away quickly. I did tell them but they were oblivious to the crush. No need for them there really as the App informs you of bus number and stand number. They should be outside! Transfer was ok going to the hotel but getting to the airport 4pm ish is a nightmare with the traffic when an 1hr journey becomes 2 hours. Pick up buses should be from the distant hotels only and not pickup around Adeje and Los Cristianos they should have their own buses. Airport was efficient with no problems. Hotel was impressive upon arrival and throughput with the cleanliness of a very high standard. Staff in every department were efficient and well trained in what they do. Safe 20€ for one week Towels 10€ each refundable deposit, change towels once a week only, this was ok if you don’t go to the black beach. Cards for everything is comical but efficient once again. We emailed the hotel to ask for a high floor room which they replied to immediately but then ignored it it seemed. We booked a Deluxe Sea view room as a balcony is important to us. We were given room 106 with the foliage of a tree right in front of us - just a partial sea view was our opinion. As the hotel is built on the side of the hill I must admit that all rooms are elevated, but 106 is not the best plus the walk from there to anywhere else is not to be taken lightly - no short cuts out of there. Room was in excellent order and kept that way by the maids. 2 New small water in the room to refill in stations around the hotel, but you must plan the refill of your bottles as it means more walking. Shower over the bath is better than the cubicle one which is small and you can’t vary the angle of the spray. A general soap in the bathroom and shower areas. During the winter the unlocking of the gates leading to the pools - @9am top pool and @10am for the lower quieter poor was superb as the sun is not on them any earlier. Always beds and no silly o’clock rush which made for a relaxing holiday! Good selection of food in the restaurant at all meal times and replenished efficiently and kept spotless. Smoothies at breakfast and self serve Machine coffee is ok All meals were good and there’s a microwave available if your plate or meal is not hot enough as we preferred to eat towards the end of services to miss the madding crowds. Good vegetarian options as well which is often my grumble. We didn’t see the need to go Platinum as they eat the same food but carry it back to a different section - pointless. I guess the benefits are the small infinity pool with private bar and snack area. Also a Platinum room bar by the Hello bar is self serve on branded drinks. Good WiFi throughout. Served myself to wine from bottles and water as waiters were busy - so what, they didn’t seem to mind. I would prefer if they had wine, sangria, beer and sodas on tap to help yourself as I often have a lemon top to my wine especially if it’s not that great. The staff have enough to do and drinks can be slow coming at peak times. Cracking evening spread for Valentine’s Day but having some noisy singing far too loudly ruined what should have been a special meal!? Left after one course, couldn’t stick noise with everyone competing to talk and it was extremely busy! On Saturday there was a Dress fashion show / market selling by the top pool - the women loved it! Gym is by the lower pool and it has toilets and lovely showers with changing space and white towels which we used last day as we had an evening flight. These are not used a many pool goers! Red and white wine waiter served is quite nice indeed. Hate slush ‘brain freeze’ cocktails!! 😡 also are they hygienic, same stuff in there for days!? Whiskey crème (Baileys copy) ok a bit sweet Cocktails are ready made rubbish using unbranded liquor in the Hello bar - dreadful!! Beer is just ok Campari bitter copy is ok Pepsi is sugary so go for diet with your Bacardi Sangria is nice on self serve at the bar by the pool. Soft drinks (no gas) to the left of the pool bar My choices of drinks were to help myself to soda and then go to the bar for a splash of alcohol- Campari bitter, Bacardi (real not a copy) Gin was Bombay Sapphire if you ask. Take to the bar for splash of liquor of choice and lemon slice or orange and no ice which fills the glass up and dilutes the drink! 🤷‍♂️ Hilly walks in any direction, but lift down to the road is good. Lovely place in our opinion with a few shops, bars and restaurants if you want them. We loved this hotel and it is one that we would go back to and we never revisit any!! It would be perfect for us if they changed some of the drinks etc mentioned above. Excellent 4* hotel no doubt, worthy of 5 star a TA review!
