Hostal La Jerezana

Very centrally located and very basic but you've got a sink and a shower in the room, as well as LCD TV on a wall. There's a wardrobe but no single shelf unfortunately. Staff very kind and helpful but doesn't speak a word in English. Generally clean but during our stay (6 nights) the room wasn't clean not even once. Might seem noisy - if you want to sleep at 11 pm ;-)

Perfect location and perfect value for money

Very nice hosts which will help you with anything. The room was good size, warm (I was there in winter) and clean but the noise from outside was very bad at night.Even when we closed the wooden shatters, we couldn't get away from the noise of busy street and disco club underneath. I guess if you get room on the other side of that building (near kitchen) it's a different story and you will get much more sleep. It's a very good location though- close to the Sol Metro Station.

The location is excellent-just in the city center and it's perfect value for money. No problem with the staff-very helpful especially when I needed a hairdryer!  The room is just fine for some nights and it's good that you have your own sink and shower in it! The bathrooms were very very clean!
But (there is always a 'but') the noise after 11 pm may be unbearable especially if you are not dead tired and just want some relaxing.  There is a night club just opposite the street which is not the problem. The problem is that many people just gather in the street and make so much noise! However after a couple nights you get used to it and you just get some earplugs:)!

Don't go if you need some sleep..

The hostel was very disappointing. I was expecting a shower and a basin in the room but had to use a separate bathroom instead. The bathroom had no soap at all. The only thing I was pleased with was the bed itself. The rest was extremely different from what I had expected.

The lady in reception was friendly but the hostel as a whole is rather depressing.

Clean, but NOISY, damn noisy. 
Don't expect to sleep at all: beside the fact that the 2 buildings in front of our room were being renovated (and I mean with heavy duty pneumatic hammers starting at 7:30 AM), the window nor the blind were not closing, leaving the heavy night traffic, party goers, garbage trucks, scooters, music from nearby pubs and discos entertain your sleeping hours.
The walls are also extremely thin, allowing you to hear the sex life of your neigbours and the fights in the lobby. Also when your neighbor is showering, the pipes make an extreme noise waking you up in the middle of the night.
The mattress adds that special shiatsu massage, since you will be able to feel every single spring.
Unfortunately nobody in the hotel can speak English, so getting another room was unthinkable.
On the positive side it was very cheap, 25 euro per night per double room, in the center and with a big fully equipped kitchen.
